  1. You have won the Internet for the day. Don't use it all in one shop.
  2. I will freely admit to downvoting and upvoting. Just ask me where, when, and who.
  3. One is American pounds, the other is European ones
  4. I don't even mind the pretence that the Giulia platform is going to revive Alfa. It may, or it may not. What I like about designing the platform to that standard is that it will already make it than it needs to be for Dodge and Chrysler, which makes them more desirable.
  5. As long as you only need to click once to post you still have a leg up on the competition.
  6. I got a PM once form a guy who referred to himself as "the legend." I could reference Sigmund Freud at this point but I won't.
  7. I upvoted that because I've seen some PMs :D
  8. Excellence of execution always gets some folks' backs up. Bottom line: this car is gonna scare the competition, right out of the box. No need to wait for Gen 2 or Gen 3 before it gets serious, no need for caveats. GM is on the warpath, and they are not letting up so the conpetition can catch a breath.
  9. Even Mopar's biggest supporters (including me) have to be a bit dismayed at Sergio's latest outburst. He's unravelling pretty bad. http://www.autoextremist.com
  10. I know it won't be a big seller, but the curb weight for that base model is just insane. Also, what's up with the TT drivetrain weighing so much more than the 3.6? I guess updated transmissions, turbos, and intercoolers all add up.
  11. That one was on me, just for the hypocrisy. ...it's warm out today.
  12. Airbags in the hub don't help, to be fair. And the spokes are pretty thick to help accommodate that. But before airbags, you can't tell me that a Momo wheel wasn't the shizzle.
  13. Sorry man. I gotta burn the midnight oil to, uh, get... oil. No rest 'til Sunday
  14. I wasn't talking about you specifically, or one outburst. We all have our moments. I'm talking about lazy, undisciplined, hateful mental sewer spackled on forums and message boards, spewed with fire-hose ferocity.
  15. The three-spoke wheel is so popular because it offers enough spokes to not be flexible (unlike, say, old Citroen one-spokers), positioned to allow a good view of the gauges (unlike old banjo-style four smokers) and a good resting place for your thumbs at nine and three (unlike my boomerang wheel in my old Mustang). Also, Ferrari/Momo did them for a long time. So there's the cool factor.
  16. Using heritage as a crutch for boorish behaviour was SO played out in FIN last year.
  17. Uh... no. That wheel makes a clown face. And once you see the clown face, you will ALWAYS see the clown face. Even in the Maybach.
  18. It's a nice car. The engine appears to behave a chassis capable of using it. Ford will do good with it.
  19. Dood. We have diamonds out the wazoo up in the Northwest Territories-screw the blood diamond crap. Google "Diavik." It's where I get the rocks for the missus. Also, the cheap Quebec hydro is a gift from Newfoundland, courtesy of a Preimier who was stupid short-sighted in his financial dealings.
  20. Car and Driver's initial take on the car here: http://m.caranddriver.com/reviews/2016-ford-mustang-shelby-gt350-gt350r-first-drive-review
  21. Average age of cars is also increasing though, even after cash for clunkers too a chunk of older vehicles off the road. That's just the result of cars being better-built today than ever. Even the clinkers they took off the road were probably pretty solid lumps.
  22. Anyone can get banned from a forum. But you know you've really left in style when multiple posters chase you to the other places you chime in on stuff. Bonus points If they're so angry at you that they call your vehicle of choice immoral. Sweet merciful, some folks need to take a deep breath :D
  23. Fiat/Alfa will not succeed without it, that's for sure. They also need a hot hatch replacement, stat.
