  12. Getting back on topic....the reason it is not coming is three words: The current 'Nox. It would just eat sales of it......

  16. It was the Roto Hydramatic tranny... nicknamed the "Slim Jim". It shifted different than the typical Turbo-Hydro and was less durable. Phased out after 1964, I think Balthy is indicating that it was a standard item in the Catalina. Someone want to write up something about this? I've never heard of it before and I'd like to know the tech and history behind it. New thread. I like!

  19. +1 Gee, I noticed people burn things quickly around here..... I also sense people still holding grudges over things they could not control.......
  20. Well, that depends on how you look at it. New body styling with further differentiation between the Sierra and the Silverado, new models (i.e. Sierra All Terrain HD Concept), and new interiors would do wonders for GM's full-size trucks. The chasis and drivetrains are near perfect, though an upgrade to the 5.3L V8 would be nice (maybe bumped up to 5.5L) and the addition of the 4.5L V8 diesel engine for the 1500. A new body with a new interior could really spur sales of the full-sizers, especially since they've been on market for 5 years now (debuted late 2006 as 2007 models). However, I believe that's the plan, with this becoming a reality as 2014 models in 2013. New engines for now.....
  21. Nice! Good to know she had it in her....see you need to autocross that thing after all! Yes!!
