And with gas prices soon on the upswing again, don' t expect the numbers to get better either. I'm in the market for a compact, but it gas levels really do jump as high as they say, I'm not spending as much on gas as the car payment itself! Many people are like me, playing the wait and see game. The only hard sales I'm seeing here are the downgrades (from trucks/SUVs/larger cars) and those who are dumping the very worn out cars.... I could lease a nice Cruze for about 200 bucks right now, but something is just telling me to wait....

Now that will be interesting...

Ponchoman49, it baffles a lot of us. I would love having the G8 become a GMNA Buick with the necessary upgrades, but it is far more likely to be a Chevy Caprice or Cadillac flagship. (I hope!) According to my local dealer (it might be a corporate decision), the Enclave is considered the flagship. I am not sure that a large crossover should be one, but that is another debate. Not surprising since those who owned SUVs in the 90s crazy are retiring now......so in a way, it makes sense. The 'new" retirees are not going to want the same things their parents had...
