The Aks only...I won't touch wagner or reybestos. The squeaking alone will drive you nuts, and since your car is a bit heavier, it will sqeal too. Granted, at least you'll stop. The Aks will last twice as long too.... Only Aks or Bendix for mine....wearever from AAP in a pinch..... I'm about ready to tear the reybestos out of the wife's cav any day now....

Pretty much...issue is that people may have gotten to used to the "let's buy a chevy compact around 10 grand" that went on for years... Now you can't even find a Kia compact (not counting the Rio), for less than 15 grand....

Well, if GM hadn't dropped the ball for so many years, we wouldn't even had to talk about this in the first place. I'm not aplolgizing for a damn thing. I'm just telling you the way it is reg. Limited resources and all. I can't still get my head past all the whining everyone has about the engine, considering not a soul has driven one yet. Most people could care less how fast it is, they just want dependable and good MPGs. That's it. And no, the 2.2 will not work for the new upcoming ratings, topped with the fact that it would be no better than this current line........

Dwight...like the choices. Reg, they are working on a line of engines like Ford.....but Ford was ahead in the development game. Hence, you also have to take in account that whole lack on money Gm had going on for a while. Seriously, you really want to delay a new compact and keep the Balt out even longer to wait for the engine set? While the 1.8 and 1.4 are not going to set the world on fire, both are tried and true engines. (What Drew was trying to say) These new engines should be in the refreshed set on Cruzes......
