It's your call dude. But to me, plunking more money on vehicles, while cool, seems like a bad time in your future. Especially now that you're looking at student loans. Call me a pessimist, but I have this feeling you'll end up parting with a ride or two just to pay those loans and their interest, or to finance lucrative endeavors in the future. Don't mortgage your future for the sake of just another car. I'm gonna stop Negative Nancyin'g, and being a stick in the mud now. Do what makes you happy.

Dude you got a Buick, and that gorgeous Cutlass. I think you're set. Don't put yourself into financial trouble over this hobby. You already have more cool toys than most of us will in a lifetime.

Was going to go to a party, but since I've got a ton of homework, and am not entirely well, I'll spend my night handing out candy, lamenting the lack of trick-or-treater's due to overzealous parents, and hassling teens who think it's awesome to put cherry bombs in pumpkins and fire roman candles and bottle rockets at housing and cars.
  5. BMW X6. Unfortunately, it's really popular in my neck of the woods.
  6. I'll see you, and raise you this, Mister Audi. http://www.bmwblog.com/2009/04/13/billboar...ar-bmw-vs-audi/
  7. The East-Coaster's get all the fun. 8[
  8. I somehow came across it, and since I figured I had relevant information to post, I just decided to necromance it.
  9. 1: Nobody wants to move to Quebec. 2: You'd need one hell of a big igloo to fit a car.
  10. I'm 22, she's 36, and I don't know what to tell the parents.
  11. Have you considered putting a poll in the New Member section that asks them how they found their way C&G? Say like, through a search engine, Facebook, Twitter, other auto site, word of mouth, etc? That might be helpful for the team to gauge which methods of attracting new people are working, or to devise methods to give maximum exposure through all outlets.
  12. My netbook can't fit the website, and I doubt Canadians are allowed to enter. =[
  13. I never had problems like that, but I do know other co-workers did at the last place I worked. However, the ones with problems had MySpace and Facebook accounts, so the gossipers could always peek in on what they were doing.
  14. When I find the internet's largest 'ffffffuuuuu' jpeg, I'll be sure to edit my post, and paste it right here.
  15. I'm on the fence with social media, which is weird given my generation's wholesale embrace of it. For a corporation, the fast pace of the social media platforms can make it hard to control their message, or lose control completely. Take GM's idea of letting people create advertisements for their Tahoe. Some of the best creations were those that lampooned the very thing GM was trying to sell. The Honda Crosstour Facebook foray is another example of how a company can be brought to its knees in terms of PR by just a few snarky individuals. With the mix of anti-establishment attitudes, and crazy fanboyism on the internet, I'm amazed any 'stodgy' company like Honda or GM would want to appear 'hip' through social networking because they'll likely end up getting burned.
  16. Black with blacked out steelies would make for a badass ride!
  17. I'd roll with an LCD. One thing of note is that if you do choose one, make sure the area is decently lit. If it's a darker room, you might be better served with a plasma from the likes of Panasonic who make a fantastic TV. Plus, with an LCD/Plasma you can easily hook up a PC to it through DVI or HDMI. Frag sessions at 40+ inches!
  18. My family has an old Silex that works perfectly to this day. Just make sure you don't melt too much cheese, or you'll get a fire like my brother did.

  20. Who's the manufacturer?
  21. Well, inthat case, then Mac's are generally the better option. I'm not sure what sort you're buying used, but for the love of God, make sure it has an Intel CPU. Even if it means you have to save up for a longer time, buying a used Mac Pro with an Intel Xeon will reward you with better upgradeability, and the ability to run Windows if you need. Heck, you're handy with fixing cars, so you might be able to build yourself a new 'hackintosh' for a comparable cost of a used Mac if you're brave enough to do the necessary research.
  22. Why on Earth do you want a MacBook when there's a free alternative called Linux that runs on your existing hardware?
