now that the volt has rolled out nationally also, maybe its time to peel back the most marketing efforts for the places where it will have the most impact. California, east coast, places like that.

If i were GM, I would skip right to the gen2 Volt. Cut the weight to 3000 pounds. Make the generator a 1.0 litre 3. Bring in instances of lighter weight materials, if even for test bed for production. And hopefully some more battery tech and a cheaper price. Ford may just leapfrog everything with the plug in Fusion and Focus..... GM's hybrid approach here though is worth refining.

Chrysler has Fiat, Nissan has Renault. PSA + GM is not bad if GM wants to expand into that portion of Europe. Perhaps at some point, Opel becomes a sub brand of PSA and that is the way to shed Opel......

first hand, one main reason kids aren't into cars. can't afford em, can't get credit. parents can't afford em either. including insurance. there is nothing you can do with price or content on a car if the buyers have a snowball's chance in hell of producing the funds.

it seems to revert back to the vanilla / odd / ancient Japan sort of look Nissan had prior to the 03 or whatever Altima......actually it's not offensive or bad even and the change of pace from their worn out Altima look of the past decade is nice. But it certainly doesn't stand out....... Chevy's new Malibu is much more distinctive. As long as Nissan can keep pimping them on 200 dollar leases they will be ok. Ford's new Fusion is nicer but not stunning either.

i've felt for a very long time, like since the 9-3 came out in 04 that Saab should have been positioned up against VW...more acurately between say VW and Acura at the time so that the 9-3 was a Passat competitor. or at least something that a VW shopper could move up to without much more dough. For Saab to maybe come back the same way....... Saab had so much potential......

we got 2700 for a late 90's accord with 235000 on it recently. this appears to be a peach. there would have been someone who would have paid a lot more than 2500 for that. i would say you got a nice deal.

good mpg for a CUV/SUV with upright lines. and beats 15 mpg of say, a GC.....

it's pretty expensive to open up an entire separate channel.....

i guess if it keeps the price on the Cayman's palatable....

i am not opposed to E85. I am opposed to mandatory ethanol like my state. 10% less mpg, gums up my car, so basically i pay an extra 10% for gas that ruins my car and goes right to ag subsidies. i call it the ethanol tax. what i do like, E85 capability, let's mandate that. then we can CHOOSE. if i want to, i can put E85 in my car. But my gas, i want to be 100% non ethanol.

sedan is ok, in the rear its a bit clumsy, the hatch looks terrible, this at least looks relaxed and dare i say a bit crossover to it......like a subaru wagon......
