i saw three new lucernes on the trip back this weekend on the interstate, including one with dubs. i think its safe to say they are selling. of course, i saw 2 yellow azteks and 5 COUNT EM FIVE suzuki veronas also, in about 250 miles.

right now, the ecoweenies have everyone focused on hybrids being for economy. i think its odd that anyone would market performance hybrids right now. once hybrids become common, sure. but anyone selling hybrids right now would get a lot more bang for their buck right now if they made more cars like the new camry hybrid......good everyday performance and good mpg.

a suzuki XL7 gets a high feature 3.6 engine, yet the G6, Grand Prix, Impala, Monte, Malibu, Equinox, Torrent, ....its not even on the option sheet. and GM wonders why its sales suck.

they should dictate into a digital voice recorder and then download the voice and run a text translation on it. THAT'd save time!

it varies. the other link on the page for that story maybe has some info. i do know that many of my friends make about 20 grand more than me in other fields, friends who either did flunk out of one college or almost did, yet picked other fields and now make quite well. 80+, 90+ oddly, i just got a raise and a job reclassification. 6% raise. WOO HOO. my cube neighbor got a promotion last fall but they got him back now with a lovely 2% raise.! not even cost of living! hate to say it, but if its money you are after....

wow, WHO NEEDS an EQUINOX? WOW! funny thing is, check out the hood. straight from the EQUINOX? the headlights are a bit much.....but 3.6? GM is fcked in the head for the equinox not having this interior and engine. this is much more attractive than the RAV4.

i did see that 'Golf' i might try to push my sister into a rabbit. she had a focus and loved it but now her elantra, she doesn't much care for it. the rabbit would have the nice vw interior and better overall presentation and such. I love the notion of a 'rabbit' but then i would want a turbo and hence, GTI. and the diesels (which would be another option) won't be cheap either. this is VW's way of competing in the small cheap car market and not having to spend the $$$ to certify the polo. single professional women just out of college will still line up to buy jettas. boy racers will get the GTI's and R6's..... those who were looking at garbage like Elantras can now smile, because they can get a much nicer car and still stay on budget! And it will also compete very well with base Civics and Mazda3's and Sentras. Smart move VW.
