  1. i find dora and boots as annoying as hell too. but i have to admit. i did recently consider a chevy express AWD van as a possibility. in some cases its cheaper than a minivan. if GM refined vans to handle and drive better and have nicer interiors I think conversion vans could spark renewed interest.
  2. yes it would add more pleasing proportions, but adding length to an already huge vehicle is bad, and you cannot rob the passenger/cargo compartment more more space either. vans by nature are proportionally tall anyways, so even increasing hood length will not help you much anyways. a van is a van. trying to make the front end carlike with 'power bulges' is useless.
  3. the Americans and Europeans have worked hard for 100 years to advance automtoive toechnology to the point its at. and chinese and asian companies like Chery simply are able to copy it at the state its at and do business. that's criminal. they haven't invested in all the R&D and technology that got us to where we are now. companies like that had better contribute in the future to the global knowledge base.
  4. here whatdya all think?
  5. maybe japan is buying them off too
  6. starship had a 12" single of ITS NOT OVER? how bout a 10 minute version of NOTHING'S GONNA STOP US NOW instead?
  7. the JETS rock! i do have some vinyl lingering in the basement. i should dig it up and see what i have. i know i have some poison, village people, some other goodies.
  8. the next outlander is acquiring a third row as well, it should be about the same size as the RAV 4.
  9. the equinox's cargo area is useless/small. one stroller/large duffel and there's nothing left for anything else.
  10. 2008?
  11. the front wheel drive manual transmission Aerio is quite fast. its a bit noisy, but it handles very well and the interior is quite pleasant aside from the not easily accomodating taller folks. its starting to get dated though. fun car.
  12. boy will there be celebrating around here when said car hits market.
  13. i like hud....like ohc motors, if GM offered it on more cars i think more folks would like it and start looking for it.
  14. the insight does indeed deliver its advertised mileage.
  15. well, the equinox just got killed and made useless. otherwise, the bloated vibe styling is a C. Not an A. the interior looks pleasant although the mits eclipse dash is not flattering here. overall, i think this thing is probably a class topper tho. its a shame the new Grand Vitara didn't have this much motor because it has a nice interior. the escape is dated.
  16. hope y'all can prove it "Your mileage will vary"
  17. i hope these pompous bastards have the ability to back up these numbers if a lawsuit is filed against them to prove their numbers.
  18. can i have a bite too? awesome post, man!
  19. Flint's article (another topic) from today cuts directly to the chase our industry is facing with regards to health care etc. everyone in America needs to read that article.
  20. letme clarify...i did not mean 'fair' article. i guess i was surprised it was not a much more liberal viewpoint. it was a liberal viewpoint, but the strib is usually clueless x 10 on most topics. here they are just mildly clueless.
  21. the evidence is not there to suggest the civic has any extraordinary aspect of performance, user accomodations, space, style, etc.....over its competition. again FOTM not COTY. Honda's been writing big checks.
  22. probably at the dealer getting some serivce work done
  23. i just read that in the paper at lunch at BK chowing on a whopper........a surprisingly fair article from the strib, although i do not like the assumed claim they make of other countries having superior health care setups.
  24. this is absurd. wagoner should be let go now, with no pension.
  25. or a nice Kia Amanti with a minidisc player in dash
