  1. It would make perfect sens to bring the Ute here as the El Camino. The work was already done...just take out the split grill.
  2. I only wish I had the money to pick up a G8 before they no longer exist.
  3. They really do need a compact sedan. The Caliber could stay but it's not needed with the Patriot being there.
  4. I would also like to point out that while loosing Pontiac sucks, and it has been painful for GM fans to watch, it's not like you're alone. Chrysler fans have had to watch the company nearly go under in the 80's, only to be saved thanks to government loans and the K platform, then when things were looking up in the late 90's Daimler took the company over under the guise "merger of equals". Sure, it seemed good at first wit the LX cars and the Pacifica, but we've had to watch the company slowly go downhill into mediocrity for several years now. Let's not forget the storied Plymouth brand was killed off right before it was to get the PT Cruiser, which was a huge hit for years. Then what was left of Chrysler was thrown away to whoever wanted the leftovers, to be bought by a private equity firm. Since then we've had to endure countless rumors of the company being chopped up and sold off, merged, and so on. Then of course the NY Times decided to write a story claiming Chrysler could go bankrupt this week. This stuff is just the tip of the iceberg, and it won't end any time soon. Yet despite all of this, myself and many others remain fans of the company and continue to support it, and as long as it exists we will probably continue to, through good times and bad. Giving up just isn't something I'm good at, and if we give up on them, who else will be left to care?
  5. It's not over until all three companies no longer exist. As long as they have fight left in them, we should support them.
  6. Hey have a good one dude!
  7. Ugh, I know what you mean. I just cleaned my car Saturday and by the end of the day it was green again...that's the only thing I diskliek about Spring. But hey, better pollen than salt.
  8. Wait for it... Naw, I'm not gonna do it yet.
  9. I'm just glad to see Chrysler is making some progress. It would truly suck if the company's flames were extinguished before we see its true light.
  10. FYI I was just being an asshole. You don't want the Vibe of EXCITEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????????????????????????
  11. The only way to take care of our oil problem is to stop being dependent on it. I don't think CAFE is the way to do it though. Consumer demand will assure cars become more efficient on their own.
  12. The original was K-car based right? I would thin that it has a decent shot of being LX based, since that is their best unibody platform.
  13. Indeed, the classic car fear borders on hysteria. They aren't going anywhere, and the "cash for clunkers" thing is an intensive, not a mandate. So what I could do s get a beat to $h! Escort, and then trade it in for 5k toward a Fiesta? I am so there!
  14. I dunno if it would have a Challenger nose, but it wouldn't be that hard to swap body panels.
  15. I that would be cool if they made one. I vote Rampage for the name.
  16. Well I've got one so far. Will look at Jack's this week if I get a chance.
  17. So the government is the new scapegoat to blame the Domestic's problems on? I guess you have to mix it up from the media blaming once in a while.
  18. Yeah, I heard something about the head of teh CAW calling the concessions unfair and torture/cruel something to that extent. You know what would have more cruel? No company to work for jackass.
  19. Wait, I just thought he wanted Jimmy emblems...if it was for GMC stuff I cold have gotten way more.
  20. It was 87 yesterday! Today it was 83, but it has cooled off. Tomorrow will be 71 but Tuesday will be 88. On the bright side, teh warm weather is making the plants bloom quickly, so that's nice.
  21. Or ask BV, he didn't buy the Cobalt because it was exciting, well equipped, and had a nicer interior...he bought it because it would be (hopefully) economical and reliable.
  22. You're not stupid for buying a Corolla if you want something from A to B, reliable and holds it's value...something Corollas are good at. If you buy t because you think it's sporty than yeah you need your head examined. The Cobalt is the same way (minus the resale value. It's economical, and fairly reliable. But ocn isn't stupid for buying one, even though there are superior entries out there to both cars. and remember: Friends don't let friends drive Echos.
