  1. Anyway, I don't see the point of this. the Vibe was never a huge seller, this current one is not a looker at all, and the only place it could go, Chevrolet, already had a 5-door. It can't become a sedan because the Cruze is coming soon..ish, so they would overlap as well.
  2. Very well said, balthazar.
  3. Excuse, but how the hellis the CTS plain? Also, you people do realize what Pontiac sells is no more exclusive or expensive than if it was sold as a Chevy right? Oh look, it has an arrow and a G#...EXCLUSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! While I feel you guys and that loosing a brand sucks, refusing to buy GM again because of it just defies logic, especially since, with the exception of the G8, you can buy the same damn thing at another brand.
  4. Starting at 10:00pm EST Cheers and Gears will be down while we switch to a new, more flexible host that will allow us to better handle traffic fluctuations. We should be back up and running by morning. - DF
  5. It seems to be alive and well to me, but I prefer your current username...you could always just make an account though *hint*
  6. Didn't notice.
  7. So what did Pontiac have? The only thing they have that Chrysler doesn't is teh Solstice. The G8 competes with the Charger and that was here first, with the new one due to be unveiled soon.
  8. I like "Moltar" better because I didn't know who the hell you were until now.
  9. I would have to look, but hey, they aren't catching fire or rotting away.
  10. Chrysler's reliability has been steadily improving, just an FYI.
  11. Camino might find some offers from Chrysler that may appeal to him.
  12. ONCE YOU HEAR IT YOU CAN'T UNHEAR IT! CadillacKing3 has a nice new quote in his sig thanks to yours truly.
  13. R.I.P. Pontiac GM announced this morning what many have long suspected: the Pontiac brand will be closed. This is a sad day for many GM fans. To get the details on the story as well as many thoughts and opinions from our members, followed the jump. http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b239/han...ontiac_Logo.jpg
  14. LOL I love how someone picks out the cloth of all things. I didn't even pay attention...was too bust looking at the exterior. Saw a C6 Z06, a yellow Chevelle, some kind of 40s or 50's matte black hot rod. Oh and this.
  15. You haven't spend seat time in a 300M Special then. Yeah the Neon was fun to drive, and a beast in SRT form.
  16. Well I'm too young to have lived through the glory days of Pontiac, so while I love the classics I don't really attach them to the Pontiac I grew up with, which was Sunfires and Grand Ams. Only the G8 strikes a cord with me and calls out to me, and it's the only one I'll really miss. Hopefully I can pick one up used some day, since I'm sure I won't have teh cash to buy one before Pontiac no longer exists.
  17. It would make perfect sens to bring the Ute here as the El Camino. The work was already done...just take out the split grill.
  18. I only wish I had the money to pick up a G8 before they no longer exist.
  19. They really do need a compact sedan. The Caliber could stay but it's not needed with the Patriot being there.
  20. I would also like to point out that while loosing Pontiac sucks, and it has been painful for GM fans to watch, it's not like you're alone. Chrysler fans have had to watch the company nearly go under in the 80's, only to be saved thanks to government loans and the K platform, then when things were looking up in the late 90's Daimler took the company over under the guise "merger of equals". Sure, it seemed good at first wit the LX cars and the Pacifica, but we've had to watch the company slowly go downhill into mediocrity for several years now. Let's not forget the storied Plymouth brand was killed off right before it was to get the PT Cruiser, which was a huge hit for years. Then what was left of Chrysler was thrown away to whoever wanted the leftovers, to be bought by a private equity firm. Since then we've had to endure countless rumors of the company being chopped up and sold off, merged, and so on. Then of course the NY Times decided to write a story claiming Chrysler could go bankrupt this week. This stuff is just the tip of the iceberg, and it won't end any time soon. Yet despite all of this, myself and many others remain fans of the company and continue to support it, and as long as it exists we will probably continue to, through good times and bad. Giving up just isn't something I'm good at, and if we give up on them, who else will be left to care?
  21. It's not over until all three companies no longer exist. As long as they have fight left in them, we should support them.
