  1. Not to rain on the parade...but the BMW is much more niche than the G8, so the G8 should easily outsell it. Again, the G8 itself is not at fault, the car is great, but clearly something is wrong.
  2. Moltar, I was referring to if this SRX handles as well as and is as luxurious as the X5, I can live with it...since there's nothing we can do about it being FWD now. However if it can't beat the X5 then it's is a failure. Why? Because beating the RX is easy, the X5 is the one to beat. The CTS can beat BMWs, so every new Cadillac should be able to.
  3. I'd rather the SRX be RWD based, however if it's as good as the X5 then fine. However I don't want to see the entire Cadillac lineup go FWD. That will loose credibility, and Cadillac would be stuck competing with Acura and Lincoln...which is what Buick is supposed to be for.
  4. You should forward it to NOS, I'm sure he would enjoy it.
  5. The Toyota Prius is the most fuel efficient vehicle in its class, very roomy, relatively affordable and Hanna Montana drives one. Maybe that last point is why some people are beginning to show hostility towards the car that's become the Kleenex of hybrids. Andy Richter and James Adomain of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater have played off the Prius backlash in a faux car commercial pitting the Hyundai Elantra against Toyota's famous hybrid. Richter, formerly of Late Night with Conan O'Brien fame and not much since, plays the part of the frugal-minded Hyundai owner with an underlying anger issue, while Adomain gets all spiffed up to play the snobbish know-it-all with the Nickel Hydride battery pack. Forget about the totally erroneous statistics and the bogus sticker prices, just wait for the punch line. It's not the driveway shooting, but rather the fact this commercial is actually for the Nissan Sentra. Follow the jump to see it for yourself. Autoblog
  6. I'm afraid I can't let you do that.
  7. The Ford Mustang has been a dominant force in the sales department well before the last generation Chevy Camaro rode off into the sunset. That changed last month. Ford's iconic pony car has been outsold by the Dodge Challenger by 293 units in February, as the Dodge coupe racked up 3,283 sales during a very challenging month. The Challenger's February victory could be a sign of things to come for the Mustang, as the Blue Oval's most recognizable vehicle is set to get bombarded with more competition coming from the 2010 Camaro. The Camaro, which goes into regular production on March 16, already has over 10,000 pre-orders on the books. The Mustang won't be left for dead, though, as the pony car is getting a major makeover this spring. In fact, one reason the Challenger defeated the Mustang in February could be the fact that some are waiting for the 2010 model. Automakers also slow production before retooling for a new model, meaning there are fewer 2009 Mustangs from which to choose. With the automotive world struggling to stay afloat, it's nice to know that we have the pony car wars to keep our minds occupied. Autoblog
  8. Some actually...you know...swim most of the time. Not these guys.
  9. We have very lazy fish. They like to spend most of their time lounging around on the rocks.
  10. Did you learn that the hard way?
  11. GM did indeed miss the boat (so did Ford) on large RWD cars, and it seems only by being an established player had the Charger kept its sales.
  12. I personally have no idea how to fix it, as it's probably just the way the Invision Power Board has it set.
  13. Well, after you telling us about people shoving small animals up their asses, I don't find much else quite as disturbing (or hilarious).
  14. Pssh, it's in my sig with my other favorite sedan, I love it. I think timing (being at least 2 years late to the party) and lack of advertising is the car's problem. The car itself is one of GM's very best. Read any review about it.
  15. As recently as a couple years ago friends and I would create teams and set up bases. The XL would have made a great defensive battery. I've got 3 working Monster Super Soakers, so they do the job. Only problem is that they are so big and so powerful they limit maneuverability, and get tiring to carry after a while. They rocked though because of the pressure charge system. I still have a nice collection of workig (and non working) Super Soakers. The oldest being a SS 20...no idea where it is. My first real SS was an XP50.
  16. Truck drivers around here have a very bad habit of using roads that are way to narrow for them, and end up blocking the opposing lane as the drive down the road, or causing a mini traffic jam when they try to turn at narrow intersection and have to either wait for light for the adjacent intersection to turn green so the cars already there can go, or back up 3 or 4 times so they don't sideswipe them. In some cases an alternative route unavailable, but a lot of time there is a wider, less crowded road they could take instead.
  17. Hey turbo, tell me what you think:
  18. I wasn't happy with how the daytime photos came out, so here's a few at night...and I got the Pleco too.
  19. So, I called a few junkyards yesterday. Jack's is saying 350 but I don't think the old guy heard me properly...and wanted me to come down and take a look and hung up. Hollands said they had a 3.2 that I could get (I told them I wanted a complete drop) for $650. A lot cheaper than timing chains. I may go to both places tomorrow and check them out.
  20. I don't much care for: People who can't go a constant speed People who tailgate...like a foot away from teh back of the car in front of them. I think there should be a law that say if you tailgate like that and get pulled over you should get kicked in the crotch. People who don't know what the hell a Yield sign means People WHO TYPE ENTIRE PARAGRAPHS IN CAPS. I want to hurt them. The C&G search engine. It's utter $h!. Seriously. I type in the exact thread name and it told me there were no results. I type in part of the name and it gives me results that don't even have that word in it.
  21. My favorite Super Soaker of all time is the Monster XL. Wish I had bought one when it was sold in stores...they sell for more than double on ebay now. It was all downhill for Super Soakers after that. With the exception of the Flash Flood (I think it was called). Hell on a 90 degree summer day I still like using them.
