  1. Nothing wrong with that. Especially if they can still keep a RWD car like the Commodore/G8 around.
  2. Speaking of...how does one manage to get stains on the headliner? Not like a small one, but a LOT of stains? Also when people burn holes with their cigarette. Just baffling.
  3. That's terrible for both you both, the old man, and the Cavi. However at least you guys are alright, and that's what matters most. It sucks about the car but it did do it's job and protect you both. Hope you guys recovery quickly.
  4. I love the late `50's Imperials. They are rolling works of art. Every detail is carefully crafted and interesting. I had the pleasure of seeing a fully restored one a few month ago. Beautiful cars. I love the tail light/fin design. Back then Chrysler could run with the best of them.
  5. Armor All is amazing stuff. I still have to clean the steering column on the Mercury...it's just been so damn cold. I don't know how people can just let their cars go like that. It says a lot about the person IMO. Some people just don't care I guess. I knew a guy who bought a Focus new, and that thing was an absolute sh1thole. It smelled funny every time I road in it. Their were stains on every surface: seats, carpet, dash, headliner... It was also always full of crap. That poor thing was a mess right up until the day he ran a red light and totaled it.
  6. Now, I'm not button anal retentive about how smoothly the dial turns or whatever. However certainly I know the difference between a button that when pushed is silent and feels well damped and one that makes a loud click, has no damping, and is wobbly. The CTS falls into the former category. I sat in an Audi A5 and a 3 Series and certainly the buttons didn't feel 400,000,000,000,000 times better than the CTS's. In fact if they were any better it was by the narrowest of margins, certainly not enough for me to care about. As far as the rest of the materials, again, I poked around every car I sat in, and none of them stood leaps and bounds over the other in terms of materials. My favorites for design was the CTS and XF. But that's just my :twocents:
  7. No, sadly, I was looking forward to seeing it. No SRX either, which didn't bother me. I would say this auto show is still considerable less important than NY or LA, but it does seem to be growing, as there were a lot more important, just unveiled cars before. So that's awesome.
  8. I suppose I should have actually checked out a C-Class at the auto show buts kipped over Mercedes entirely. I did get a chance to spend time in a CTS and even better, a black CTS-V. The interior to me is excellent, and everything was put together flawlessly. The V got lots of looks and compliments.
  9. We have a fake tree, always have. We have cats, `nuff said.
  10. Might be a good idea to buy a set of snow tires?
  11. I prefer anime to most American style cartoons because of the variety of genres. There's the kids stuff, the XXX stuff, the retarded stuff, but the stuff that's more mature and aimed at older audiences. Plus there's just so much more detail than most American cartoons, and better attention to anatomy. American cartoons, especially the characters, seem to be overly simplified, and very few actually pay attention to things like clothing and the way it moves. It's usually either very simple or the characters are in tights. Plus there's so much more depth and character development in many animes. I actually haven't watched anime in quite some time though. Off hand Full Metal Alchemist is one of my all time favorites. Death Note, Ghost in the Shell, Zoids, and FLCL are also some awesome ones. -- Back to things I don't much care for... cats throwing up...period but especially on carpets or upholstery Diet soda.
  12. That too!
  13. Driving in the snow is fun if you know what you're doing. :3
  14. The voice of experience?
  15. Chrysler haters.
  16. Toyota's new recent design direction. Bulging headlights and/or tail lights. Black Ice Politicians . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Taking a messy dump that requires like a whole roll of TP to clean up
  17. No problem! It could be because of LA moving up, it could also possibly be NAIAS becoming smaller and, or so it smaller it seems. Either way the NE Auto Show has definitely moved up since I went there in `06.
  18. Pics are up, enjoy!
