  1. Since we've got a thread going on about how we should let the government control what we eat and tell everyone how much we hate overweight people, let's switch gears to a bit. What's your favorite exercise? My favorite is swimming. I love the water and have always enjoyed swimming, particularly underwater. Back when my girlfriend and I lived in Wichita, the apartment place had it's own pool and we would go their almost every day. Before that we had friend who had a fitness membership at a Windham hotel, and would go swimming fairly regularly. Sadly we don't go anymore. When we move I want a place the has a pool, either that or get another membership.
  2. Very cool, seems like a sweet camera.
  3. How's that camera by the way? Looks like it takes good quality photos.
  4. EIther one of us works for me, let's just do something about it!
  5. I wouldn't know, but from what I hear the are unveiling another EV concept, this time the Patriot, the new GC will debut, as will the new LY cars. From what I heard the GC looks quite nice.

  7. I miss the old Dodge dealership where I had my car serviced because of their excellent service, friendly demeanor, and when you would chat with someone at the dealership they actually seemed interested to talk. At the Chrysler dealership here I sometimes go now, they don't seem interested in casual conversation even though they clearly have nothing else to do in a quiet showroom, and whatever friendliness the present feels forced. I would gladly trade the fancy showroom for good service, which is how it was at the Dodge dealer. Their building was older, nothing fancy and pretty small. The Chrysler dealer is newer, more modern, and nicer...but I go there far less often than I would the Dodge dealer. You can can keep your cookies and free coffee.
  8. I heard about that, which led to a leak of their future autoshow lineup.
  9. Did you get invited to the Chrysler and Ford events Chris?
  10. Yay, progress!
  11. smk? Check facts? Surely you jest.
  12. He's got to do something to make himself look like he's not a complete failure.
  13. Someone found a brain today. So let me get this straight: The Bush administration has decided to use the TARP fund to help teh automakers, as per their original request. Everything else until this point has just been one big drama, for show. Idiots. At least they're getting it.
  14. Again, how about incentives for the organic stuff since we're going to apply tax for the purpose of making people not buy the unhealthy stuff, how about incentives for people to buy the expansive organic stuff? You really can taste the difference, but I for one can't afford to to always buy the $8 organic version of the $3 not organic item.
  15. This article is utter $h!. Not one Japanese $h!box on it. Bias much? Besides, you could find the worst 50 for sale in China right now. The Model T and Ford Explorer being on the list shows the hidden, anti-car agenda IMO, and ruins all credibility.
  16. I here ya FOG. I drink soda, nothing else tastes as good. Find me something that does, is healthy, and doesn't cost a small fortune, and I'll switch to it. Let me drink and eat what I WANT. The health nuts can eat/drink what they want. I like Dr. Pepper quite a bit, but Coca Cola is probably my alround favorite. A good root beer or cream soda is always good. Parents need to learn some f@#king responsibility and stop trying to have other people fix their problems for them.
  17. How about tax intensives for the organic stuff? You want people to eat health, but the truly healthy stuff is considerably more expensive than the artificial stuff.
  18. Muffins.
  19. Well we're about to get a lot of snow so we'll see what happens!
  20. I do agree, however it (gut) does run in my dad's side of the family, as far back as my Great Grandfather that I know of. Nothing runs in my mom's side of the family. You can see this in the I look more like my dad, including the gut, my brother got more genes from my mother, and he's skinny as a twig, and we eat the same food. Go figure.
  21. Let's make eating illegal, that'll make everyone lose weight, and who needs to eat anyway?
  22. We got a few inches of snow yesterday, and I got my first go with the Mercury in it. This being the first RWD car I've driven, I have to say, I don't see what all the bitching is about. Sure, the tail breaks free and wiggles more easily than a FWD car, but that's fun! Just drive it differently than a FWD, use the brain and common sense, and it's no problem. Also, even with bad tires I had no problem driving it around and getting it up our hill. Tomorrow we're gonna drive it through the big storm tomorrow...and now it's got a couple of snow tires on the back and good regular tires up front. Wanna find a big, empty, snow covered place and do some power sliding!
  23. I agree that obesity can genetic related, and trying to control it by taxing foods that may not be healthy is a form of controlling what we can and cannot eat. You could stretch this even further if you wanted and claim that this 1.) Goes against freedom to CHOOSE what we want to eat/drink. If you don't want your kids to get fat and it isn't genetic, than you have the power to not buy unhealthy foods. Otherwise you have no one to blame but yourself if you choose to buy them and give it to your children.
  24. What GM needed for years in more marketing and the know how to actually manage its brand. If they weren't so retarded and spent the money when they had it on developing product for the brands, making them focused and such, they'd be in a lot better shape. Better late than never I suppose.
  25. It's good and uses facts to back it up (what a concept!).
