Are they P-Zero Rossos or P-Zero Neros? I'm going to guess Rossos because the Neros are $h!ty tires. Glad you liked it. I'd love to just drive one; those cars are sexy inside and out and have a great powertrain (on paper at least).

http://www.leftlanenews.com/north-american...-announced.html I'm going to go out on a limb and say: COTY: CTS-V TOTY: X6 (I think it'll win for being different even though I'd like to see Vue Hybrid take this)
-
I can't possibly drive less. I'm forced to drive about 50-60 miles a day to/from work and going to lunch. Add another 30 if I drive my girlfriend to my place and back home that night. I have, however, been driving smarter. I've learned what's said to be the optimal way of driving my particular car (certain RPMs, stay out of boost, never drive in neutral) and it's been saving me quite a bit of gas the last couple weeks...

Sketch Competition #27 - GM's Next Sport Compact
NOS2006 replied to NOS2006's topic in Sketch Competitions
haha Oblu, you're a big idiot. -
haha The horsepower numbers are a bit funny (but understandable since this is from '02!), but your description of its design is pretty good. Thanks for the read!

Scissors have been around for awhile too; does that make cutting things a fad?
-
Gosh, that's too bad.. my grandpa worked on the line at Packard, but he passed away in April.. Then again, on second note, I might be able to speak to good ol' Reggie Bell. Never had him as a professor, but I know he's been a good source of auto info for a lot of people. Maybe I'll see if I can catch him in an office hour...
-
That's really interesting to know. How long ago did he pass? How long ago did he teach at Kettering/GMI? On the lines of the actual contest: do you know what style they are looking for? Is this supposed to be a research-drenched article? Or something from the heart with a small touch of research and facts? I want to do the latter and not bog it down with too many numbers, but I'm not sure if that's what they'd like to see... Also, what is an upper-class undergraduate? I'm a Junior at Kettering; am I eligible to enter?
-
I'm pretty sure he's just saying the thread is boring and poking fun at Sixty8.
-
Yes it is. 1. It is a nice piece at the end of an era where horsepower rules, but the start of an era where MPG rules. It still gets good gas mileage for its power and weight while maintaining great performance in comparison to the competition. 2. It shows that GM still has car guys who want to please the customer's need for speed. 3. It proves that there still is an automaker (albeit not the only one) who puts their compassion into the design, details, and every part of the vehicle they make instead of simply making a machine on wheels like so many manufacturers do. 4. This car will set GM up nicely for a smaller, lighter, less powerful, more efficient, just as quick 6th Gen Camaro and then they can use the PR to say, "Hey, we care more than you think and we know how to build a damn good car. Look how much this car has changed and it still has all the dynamics and excitement of the 5th Gen and more!"
-
Certainly not what I was expecting.. nice job!
-
Stay safe, y'all. Seriously.. we don't want to see any of you missing!
-
Hmm, I'm interested in this just because the award is named after a professor from my university (though I've never heard of him).
-
Saw a Camaro mule all taped/camo'd up the other day... Kinda strange.
-
Wow, that Top 10 is pretty $h!ty... so bad I'm not even going to read the rest of the list.

Choppin' Competition #47 -- Buick Riviera VOTING
NOS2006 replied to NOS2006's topic in Choppin' Competitions
My apology. Please vote for three, not two. -
I think she's awesome. Just watching her speech at the RNC was enough to make me back her. Given, I do like many of the things she is for, so don't say I'm voting on her character. I do think she has a great charisma about her and I, too, like the fact that she seems like a normal American citizen who was picked out of the blue. Seeing McCain pick somebody way off the charts like this shows that he's still got "it" and he obviously does his research before making decisions.

Welcome to Choppin' Competition #48! GM and Saab debuted a refreshed 9-3 for 2008, but we think it can get better! It is a very sexy design all around, but there is still room for it to be more innovative and classy by its already impressive design. Should you take on this task, your duty is to modify the 2008 Saab 9-3 into anything you can imagine. Want to drop and mod it to be a street racer? How about evolving it into the next generation? Or maybe you even want to stretch it into a limousine and show Cadillac that the DTS isn’t good enough. Whatever you choose to do, make sure it shows what you picture in your head because I’m sure the end result will be brilliant! Please use only use the 2008 Saab 9-3 for your base image! haha Yeah, no kidding. I think she'd do well though; she seems pretty intelligent.

Sig test.

No, this is an SS (non RS). SS/RS Camaros have halo/projector headlights and red SS badges (these are silver).
