  1. You don't have to solder wires for them to work... It's the best option, but not the only one. Can you take a pic of what broke?
  2. Try that crank sensor yet?
  3. Saw a Quattroporte and a Ferrari Testarossa last week.
  4. Please see: http://www.leftlanenews.com/2009-cadillac-...horsepower.html
  5. Great, crash; I can't wait to see your entry!
  6. I actually think that it is a manual, YJ... Could be wrong though.
  7. That render looks like a mix between a WRX and a 3-series.
  8. Finally got a couple pics of the 128 that's been around the school:
  9. Yeahhhh boy! Next year I'm looking forward to having Osgood backed up by Jimmy Howard, Helm on one of the top 3 lines, Abdelkader, and our new pick-up (Swedish is he?). Can't wait already! I'm going to the parade tomorrow. I'll be sure to take pics!
  10. Thanks for the submissions so far! Get on it, Argen!
  11. Lincoln MKS, many G8s and Challengers.
  12. Tons of Challengers, a C5 "C1-look-alike" kit car, BMW 1-Series.
  13. I for one have been really busy and pre-occupied, but this is the general trend. The boards slow down right now every year. The autoshows are being anticipated in the fall and hit in the winter. Between the end of autoshow season and fall, it's just slow.
  14. Yeah, this just confirms what I've been saying since NAIAS '07: the Camaro looks so much more modern and so much better.
  15. We know...
  16. If feasible, I'd definitely agree. Great point. I couldn't agree more with these. I was going to post the same until I read your post. I am completely for downsizing engines (i.e. LS engines could range from 4.0 to 5.7 or 6.0) and upping technology across the board (with VVT, DI, AFM, DOHC, etc.). I'm also 100% for using forced induction and diesel, as long as they can mass-produce them to keep the premium price of buying a diesel or turbo down. That's something I hadn't thought of. Is there really a big need for the CUVs to be FWD vs. RWD? If they can make all the current Lambdas RWD and put these more technologically-fit and efficient (as discussed above), then why not make them RWD and able to tow more? Agreed again. And, on that note, why not use this same technology (launch control, no lift shift, economy mode, etc.) across the board? You can offer all of these in a $23,000 Cobalt, but not in the more expensive, heavier vehicles (like the Impala, Lucerne, SUVs, etc). Moot point; that basically goes without saying. That's something else that pisses me off. CAFE and the government can limit gas mileage and pollution all they want in new cars, but what about motorcycles, factories, etc? That's going to get me off topic though, so we'll just leave it at that.
  17. Have you ever tried just trimming your nuts? A full shave lacks that extra touch.
  18. Hmm.. CTX = Catera Touring Crossover?
  19. Welcome to Sketch Competition #25! Imagine what it would be like if Pontiac were a little bit different; if it were placed much further upscale and sold in much smaller numbers. It would still be the sporty, muscular, sexy Pontiac that we know and love, but there would be more mystique to owning one. You know.. like a Ferrari. Ferrari basically targets the same crowd, just much further up the economic food chain. So what would a Pontiac be like if it were to sell for $200,000? What would it look like, what would it be called, what would power it? Should you accept, your task will be to design Pontiac's answer to the Ferrari F430. Obviously this is just a dream and this will never happen in the near future, but there's nothing wrong with dreaming! Step into the design studio and show Mr. Lutz what could be the world-leading car in a sporty, performance luxury car. What have you got to lose? Nothing! So get to work! Please include at minimum 2 (two) of the following: *3/4 Front View *3/4 Rear View *Interior View **Entries without two perspectives will still be accepted, but will incur a 2-point penalty at the end of voting** Remember, people will be voting based on the overall presentation of your entry, so the more views the better, including ones not specifically listed above. Aside from 800x600 size guidelines, remember this should be a high-performance, exotic Pontiac sports car. Deadline is Sunday, June 29th @ 11:59PM your local time. Good luck!
  20. I've got an idea... Buy yourself a rat rod and throw in a Prius drivetrain.
  21. Right now? In class. Well, I've been around a bit, just under the radar I guess. Remember that thread I posted a month or two ago about my grandfather being in the hospital? Well he passed away a half hour into April 28th. Prior to that time, I had been driving about an hour to the hospital and back about two or three times a week to both see him and support the family who took the loss pretty hard. Then I missed an entire week of school last week (sans Tuesday) to be with the family and go to my grandpa's viewings and funeral. Now I'm finally back at school and catching up on the stuff I've missed. Speaking of school, I'm at the end of the fifth week of this semester and it doesn't even feel like I've been here two. Given how much I've been home over the last month instead of school, I guess I can understand why it doesn't feel like I've been here at all. But I'm catching up with everything I'm a bit behind with. Family comes first, so I'm good with having to catch up on everything else after taking a week off of "real life." So what else is there? Oh, yeah, my parents just got rid of the Grand Prix a day or two ago. What'd they replace it with? One of these guys: Yep, they got about $5000 off of an '08 G5 after the family discount, GP return, and a $1k rebate and got the car for $12k after title and taxes. Perfect starter car for my little sister (who turns 17 in August.. I can't believe she's that age already ) with the auto trans and lil 2.2 Ecotec. Meanwhile, I'm going to try to get on to the Sketch Competition ASAP to update that. My laptop's about to die and I'm too far from the outlet to plug it in in this classroom. The next week or so will be very busy here with my fraternity's pledges having initiation week starting Sunday at midnight, next week being brotherhood/alumni retreat, and elections (I'm running for one of two VP positions) the following weekend. And in between that, again, I've gotta catch up on schoolwork and, being the IFC Recruitment Chair, I've got my hands full there too. I'll try to keep up with what I have to here though and stay on top of things as much as possible. Keep in touch and don't be afraid to PM or something and say hey.
  22. I'd really like to start jogging, but Flint isn't really a key area to do that...
  23. What isn't a beef on the Camry? The thing is rated lower than any other Camry made to date (as far as I can remember). Why not check into a Malibu or wait it out for the new Buick coming out next year? Surely I have not seen one good reason to downgrade from a Buick to a Camry. Not one. Especially if you call yourself a Buick enthusiast. Either you don't know and understand the concept of an enthusiast or you're just another sheep following the herd...
