1. Dude, I actually agree with Sixty8 on the Hemi-powered comment. I love the 'Cuda, but the Camaro looks so much more sinister.
2. Isn't that the difference between a sunroof and a moonroof? Moonroofs just pop up?
3. I did pretty well with this guess from a couple years back..
4. I'm sorry.. I should've said, "Removable roof panels?"
5. Oh, I forgot to mention... there was a Camaro chat between an engineer on the team and members of cz28.com and one member asked why it's only got 23 MPG when he can get over 30 with his LS1. The engineer said that 23 MPG is in SAE terms and "if you can get 30+ in your LS1, you can do even better with this car."
6. Scott Settlemire said the 3.6 with 300 HP will probably end up with 27 MPG hwy.
7. I couldn't agree more. I love driving a stick, not an auto-stick-thing. The engineers admitted that they geared the 6SA in the Camaro for that 0-60 sprint. The only thing that hurts the 6SM is the 1-2 shift. Colors are not completely accurate. Just poor Photoshops of the silver concept Camaro. Times have been posted on the Camaro, though Scott Settlemire said the times aren't accurate. I'd count on them dropping .1-.3 seconds.. all of them: http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=129496 6SM RS/SS for me all the way. I've already read up a $h! ton on this car. I can't wait!

LS3 Numbers

So I searched Google and found some stuff on the LS3 in the '08 Corvettes and got some interesting stuff... They're dynoing bone stock around 385 RWHP. CAI adds 10-12 WHP, headers are another 40 WHP, and a cam is about 60 more WHP. The heads can be ported to flow about 10% better than the 320 cfm they do stock. A Procharger is helping significantly with 150 WHP and 120 ft-lb extra on only 5-6 psi (for bone stock engines). So if I'm reading this right... upgrade your Camaro SS's lower end, add some loads of money and work, get a tune, and dyno in well over 600 WHP.
9. Sorry, I didn't picture you putting sarcasm and B-Pillar together in the same thought haha.
10. Dude, to eliminate the B-Pillars they'd have to add even more weight to make up for the structural integrity the B-Pillars provide.
11. Hmmm... Model Cd Weight HP Ring Time 08 Corvette 0.28 3179 lbs 436 HP ??? Z06 0.34 3132 lbs 505 HP 7:40 ZR1 0.34 3324 lbs 638 HP 7:24 CTS-V 0.355 4200 lbs 567 HP 7:59 Camaro SS 0.35 3860 lbs 422 HP 8:20
12. I definitely would blame it on weight. If the Camaro beat the Turbo SS and those other cars while weighing in at 3860 (plus driver and gas.. so 4100ish), it's gotta handle pretty damn well.
13. I'm a bit depressed on the Camaro's time, but remember it's only the SS and there's still the Z/28 to come. I'd like to see a Heinricey time in the SS though..
14. Ummm t-tops?
15. I'm upset it does the 'ring only 2 seconds quicker than the SS Turbo, but after an exhaust and intake, I'm sure it'll free up a few ponies to a nice round 450+
16. Keep this in mind... Camaro V6: 300 HP, 26 MPG hwy Mustang V6: 210 HP, 26 MPG hwy Challenger V6: 250 HP, 25-26 MPG hwy (est. because Charger gets 24 MPG hwy with same engine) So up to 90 HP difference with comparable MPGs? Nice. :AH-HA_wink: Also... Camaro SS: 422 HP (when properly equipped) Challenger SRT8: 425 HP 3 HP difference, ~200-300 lbs difference.. and that's only the SS. Can't wait to see if/when Dodge will up the ante on the SRT8 for the Z/28.
17. Whoa, reg. You can only see like a square foot of the seat. Hold judgment, sir! The car is heavy, but probably lighter than the Mustang and Challenger. New Mustangs sell for 17k, but you'll get a hell of a lot more in the Camaro (more standard HP, more gears, LSD regardless of trim, much better quality, IRS, ...)
18. I appreciate and love the optimism, but your point is pretty irrelevant to what's being discussed. [/hijack]
19. Yeah, the side profile looks awesome. But I've got a couple gripes: the front and back look retarded and it looks like there's NO chance of fitting anything under the hood (and it doesn't have ME proportions).
20. Auto? Yes. Manual? Not class exclusive.
21. Whoa! I'm blown away. No wonder they're not calling it Cobalt.
22. Just wondering. My mom is really into this stuff. I believe in it to a certain extent, but I'm not really sure if I believe in psychics... Reason I ask is that my mom will see/talk to a psychic once every great while (every year or two) and tell me what happened. Well I usually don't agree with half the crap, but this time it might've hit home.
23. QUOTE(CSpec @ Nov 9 2005, 03:25 PM) The best one is watching BET and drinking every time you see a black person. UPN can be used in non-cable households. I like Fuck the Dealer... The dealer has the deck of cards and looks to see the top card. The next person in the circle takes a guess at the card. The dealer says higher, lower, or fuck. That person gets one more guess (if applicable). If at any time the card is guessed, the dealer takes that many drinks (8 drinks for an 8, 11 for a jack, etc.). If the guesser guesses wrong, they drink the difference (they guess 6 and it's a 10, they drink 4). After the dealer fucks over three people in a row, he or she passes the deck. Gets you real fucked real fast if you're drinking the right stuff.
24. QUOTE(the_yellow_dart @ Nov 9 2005, 12:06 PM) -- What the f**k: A little childish, but gets people hammered. Everyone picks a name ending in f**k, and there is a rhyme involved which passes the responsibility to do the next verse from person to person based on the chosen f**k names. If you screw up the song, you drink and start it over. The start is hard, so the same person usually ends up drinking about 5 times before the game gets going again. You need someone to teach you this one in person. Fuck me, fuck me.. what's the name of this fucking game... What the fuck?! Frank fuck, Frank fuck.. better than a yellowdart fuck!
25. I like where your head's at, dwightlooi, I really do.
