  1. I do think we will see the day where ICE are the minority of new cars produced. And, unfortunately, I don't think it's too far down the road... Can an admin please send this thread to the Hybrid Forum? I forgot we had one of those.
  2. I thought it wasn't available on the Z/28... I've heard of RS and SS/RS, but never Z/28 RS.
  3. I've seen a dark red '09 Vibe AWD the last couple days. It's not bad looking, but I hate it knowing it's a Toyota. I've also seen an increasing number of Astras (mainly 5 doors) on the roads. Also, today I saw my first truckload of G8s. It saddened me though; the truck's back end was in a ditch and the front end was on the road. Not sure how that happened, but it did look like the cars were alright...
  4. I had to drive out to Lansing earlier and for some reason or another I got to thinking about a project I mentioned last year sometime. Say one day I do decide to restore a C3. However, I decide that I want an LS1 and T56 in it. How do people do this? Do you put an OBDII system in the C3? Do you somehow remove the OBDII and sensors from the LS1 and trans? I'm sure there are threads on a Corvette forum on this exact swap, but I'm curious how they would do that... go from old school with no electronics to new(er) school with wires up the wazoo.
  5. Yeah, but we're all guys. How many females and non-enthusiasts would take the FWD car over the RWD? Many.
  6. Wow, that looks great!
  7. Nothin' a pulley and tune can't fix. Everything looks good on this. It's going to look amazing when it finally hits production.
  8. Differences in the three?
  9. LS8?
  10. *cough* been my avatar for years!
  11. Nick, I see what you're saying, but you can't justify the 2-3 gas stations per intersection that we have today if we don't have anymore ICE engines in production. Demand will be less and less everyday. I don't think we'll see the day where there are no gas stations, but we will see a day with many less gas stations, and possibly "resurge" stations.

  13. So I was thinking earlier and came up with a ton of questions about battery-powered and hybrid, non-ICE vehicles... 1. Can they haul like our diesels? Can they off-road? 2. How would you "mod" one? Add some RAM like a computer? Obviously not, but who knows... 3. When they become widespread, will they be able to power the planes that you fly from here to Europe? 4. Will they be able to be used in the water, ATV, and very cold conditions (not only in cars way up north, but also snowmobiles and the like)? 5. Of course they'll be more expensive at first, but after technology gets going, will they be cheaper than mass-produced ICEs? 6. What will happen to gas stations in 30 or 40 years? Will there be "plug in stations" or will it all be central-based in your homes? There's so much that was running through my head, and this probably isn't even half of it.
  14. :rotflmao:!!!!!
  15. Final week for submissions, get your sketches in!
  16. Meh, I won't make it to Fraser and back on an hour lunch. I'll just go to Speedway, I'm pretty sure they have corn dogs.
  17. peel
  18. Wow, damn you all. Now I really, really want a corn dog. Any idea where I can get one in Metro Detroit on lunch? haha EDIT: Ooh, ooh! I'll check all the local gas stations and 7-11s.
  19. Hitler has returned!
  20. I'm agreeing with all the those saying that 402 HP isn't enough. We want the extra 25-30 that we know this engine has!
  21. I live my life three months at a time. Seriously though. My school term is three months, then my work term is three months, back and forth for 4.5-5 years. And it's pretty damn different every three months because you go from working 40+ hours a week and going home to family to taking classes at weird schedules then studying and having fun/partying with my fraternity brothers.
  22. Welcome to Choppin' Competition #47! GM and Buick debuted the Riviera Coupe Concept in China not too long ago and everybody is loving what they've seen. Showing what the brand can do with its unique styling while implementing the Chinese designers into the final product, many are thoroughly impressed by this extraordinary concept. However, should you take on this task, your duty is to modify the Riviera Coupe Concept into anything you can imagine. Do you want to show us a more production-ready vehicle in the form of a LaCrosse? How about chopping that roof off for California cruising? Maybe you'll even drop it and put it on 22s for a more dramatic effect. Whichever you choose to do, it's up to you to make your chop unique and exactly what you would like to see on the road! Please use only use the Buick Riviera Coupe Concept for your base image!
