  1. Congrats on the car man! Cant wait to hear about it! Speaking of interior plastics....where you the guy that said you scraped yourself on the HHR's interior? I've got to say, it happened to me too, we were at a car clinic, and they had an HHR there for showing, I sat, it aws very very nice, interior looked great, but the plastics where yuck. On the way out I hit my knee on the dash and scraped it, I started laughing my ass off because I remembered reading that somewhere here.. sorry if I hijacked a thread
  2. haha the previously normal people are now superior
  3. Oh I remember what I was going to say now.. about the phone. I know it seems wierd to you calling her, but if your comforatable with talking to her on the phone, you can call her once, and then just keep calling her here and there. It'll eventually become a part of your lifestyle? or whatever you want to call it, routine maybe? Thats just my 0.02 Canadian
  4. Forget the letter or 1-on-1 walk up to her, grab her breast and tell her your bedroom, 6:00 pm tonight.. just kidding.. I know it's already been said once, i've been and am on the exact same road (except my road never seems to end). Now I cant really give you advice how to approach it, because I never did until it was too late. Think about everything before you do it. Do you think she'd be alienated if she found out? I know my eventual asking didnt make things akward, maybe for the moment it did, but we've had a very long-term and intimate friendship so it didnt make much of a difference. If she says yes, bingo, your given a chance, if she says no, yeah it's going to hurt, but you'll atleast know. If she says I dont want to ruin the friendship, well the road to any sort of conclusion just lengthened it'self by ten times . Do what you must, I dont have any more advice/comments as of yet, but if I think of anything, i'll come back and post something, hopefully before you leave. Goodluck man!
  5. yeah your right, especially for a bunch of car guys not that i'm generalizing
  6. 2002 century, runs amazing except for that intake manifold gasket $h!.. though i've noticed something since we got tripple treads (well some time after?) when the windows open you can hear a flappy rubber noise as the tire rotates, noise increases with speed. I think it's the tires though. I'd reccomend a few modifications to improve some things on the car. Theres a lot of stuff you can do for the frame/handling/suspension. Theres absolutely a tonne you can do for the engine. I'm registered by the same username there as I am here, take a look http://www.regalgs.org/forum/index.php you can learn a lot about your car, the search function is your friend
  7. Sober, and will remain sober congrats josh, drinking eventually gets to your liver
  8. ugh steel = rust.... if ya plan to keep it that long
  9. sweet, is your impala a 3.4 or 3.8 (or ss 3.8 s/c?)
  10. congrats 68! SWEET car, it looks amazing! dave...whats slick 50? (i have a 3.1 in the 02 century..)
  11. nah, i think the titanium is just your regular grey...
  12. well, i calculated this on a trip once. I think it came out to be around 28 average with ac/on 95% of the time I was very pleased. Sticker is 20/30 I cant remember the exact split on the trip, because it was always a mix, but i'm pretty satisfied that it's over sticker.
  13. I hate assholes who treat bikers like $h!. When theres a biker you cant pass, just slow down and wait for the lane next to you to open up, simple, not acclerate within an inch of him. It's easy to do stupid $h! like that when your surrounded by sheets of metal. Glad your alright though.
  14. hm...look at the grille....on the rendering, and then on the spyshots...
  15. Some more fuel to the fire. Car was diagnosed with a leaking intake manifold gasket we took it to a car clinic and they saw visible evidence of leakage. There is OIL! in the coolant! The mechanic said that the car was in amazing condition, other than the leak. So the dealership lied to us, no we're going to go bitch at them. The mechanic told us to go show them where it's a bit wet, and put scoop up some coolant with my hand and show them. The guy told us he changes like 15 gaskets a week! Thanks GM! I bet they lost any future sales from my parents. Not me, but i'm sure my parents are pissed.
  16. Sorry to hear about the accident Satty, glad your okay. Hopefully everything goes well for you in the next few months!
  17. Niether my dad or I have messed with the coolant. All we do by ourselves is windshield wiper, and I dont think you could mistake that thing for the coolant resevoir. We dont like to touch under the hood, because of warranty issues, i was going to do plugs and wires, but then they'll void the warranty.... But like I said, the coolant in the buick just keeps getting worse, same with the piston slap, and the temperature gauge goes higher than it used to. The only thing done by us is a K&N filter, which has NOTHING to do with coolant. If it were up to me, i'd flush the system and switch to the green, that would mean no intake manifold gasket problems, no clogged cooling systems... still wouldnt solve my piston slap, which I believed caused no problems, but my auto teacher (formerly a mechanic, hurt his back) told me he used to have a car with piston slap and it is a problem. Also, if it werent a problem, I dont believe it would be getting worse. Whatever, we'll bitch at the dealership, the'yll probably try to rebuild the engine then f@#k it up. lol, if we get lucky and they dont, i'm totally happy with the car, infact i'm already happy with the car, i'm just pissed that the engine is destined to f@#k up, one way or the other.
  18. nope, our cavalier is an 05, without muddy dex-cool our 02 buick, is muddy
  19. Guys, this isnt blood sucking lawyers, I usually dont like this kind of $h!. But it pisses me off when you open the overflow tank in the 05 cavalier and see nice clear liquid, then you open the one in the century, and see good old muddy dex-cool. It's not my fault it's like this, hell I know about these problems and we've bitched at out dealership to flush the coolant (f@#king extended warranty!). But nope, "it's supposed to be like that". Or how about those good old faulty IMG's? Those are always fun. Oh, and we cant forget my friend Piston Slap that gets worse year after year, kilometere after kilometere. Nothing like starting your car on a hot summer day and hearing the sound of metal heavily hitting metal. I'm not a bloodsucking lawyer, i'm a pissed off customer. I really love the car, but i'm pissed that all these problems are just waiting to happen (or already happening, thx piston slap + muddy coolent). The funny thing, is all of this is gm's cheapness. A service bulletin, where if someone complains about piston slap, read it and it's only cylinders 1-4, because 5-6 have a teflon coating, so they dont slap, isnt that funny? GM cheaped out! But who knows if we can trust a stealership to properly REBUILD the engine. This weekend or next, i'm going there and bitching about everything, and telling them to fix everything. While theres still extended warranty. The car is at 80 000 km (50 000 miles). It shouldnt sound and feel like it's on it's last stretch, and dont give me this bull$h! about maintenance, when your under warranty, you gotta do EVERYTHING.
  20. century = 175 though, and there were buicks with even less power... edit - my bad, I think he meant current buicks...
  21. Theres a black cxs, optioned out at our local dealer..it's HAWT!
  22. dude this isnt a factory option, it IS dealer installed... well..I think..I have a little brochure saying that is dealer installed, but it's on buick.com... so I cant be sure.
  23. wow did the terrazza interior change or something? I actually kinda like it.. as for inspiration? I guess I can see a tiny bit of riv, I can also see a bunch of tarus lol
  24. congrats satty! good luck bro! enjoy parenthood
