My son & his girlfriend had this 'drunk monkey' pic they liked, so I whipped out a frame made from lathe I had in stock- it came out of a house that got gutted of it's plaster because the homeowner 'hates cracks in plaster', so we drywalled the entire 3-story house, originally built in 1880.

^ A few hours after I cut the above desk, rendering it a mere chair, someone contacted me to see if it was still available. ? - - - - - Had one of those upholstered office desk chairs by a front window. The seat fabric was split up but the cats like to sit on it to look out the window. Have a dumpster on site, so tossed the bulky office chair and slapped a quick platform together for the cats instead. Scrap plywood Sanded smooth, Eucalyptus rods from someone’s wall exercise apparatus, with a bracket to the underside of the window sill. A quickie.

Well, the current 'house arrest' scenario across the country is going to force folk to amuse themselves in new ways, perhaps trying something new or different. So this here thread might be a spot to post up some 'projects' people are working on, even if little stuff, to pass the time productively. I had this '50s school desk for prob 12 years now- came from a garage clean-out. Super clean, but I advertised it a few times and took it to a swap meet a few years ago- plenty look but there's no takers. So (because it's not built for adult-sized humanoids) I tossed the top and cut the steel post off, now I have a lil shop chair. It's not too low for adult humanoids to sit on, tho it's not what you'd call incredibly comfortable. If I end up never using it, I'll toss it, but here's a chance at a 2nd life. Whatcha workin on?

Correcting the record: 16-oz Monsters are 150 mg/can. I thought the "150" was per serving, but it's per can. They should bump that up. :D So my daily caffeine intake is usually 84 + 150 = a mere 234.

went to the ShopRite this AM around 6:15, probably around 70% stocked (vs. the usual 100%). Lot of boxes in the aisles for restocking, but a few commodities may continue to go missing. Store was limiting frozen veggies to a maximum of 4- heard in passing at checkout. It's an eye-opener. NJ Gov going to make an announcement today, no doubt it'll be along the lines of PA's recent one; that everything non-essential is going to be shut down. In PA tho- the liquor stores are state-run, and they're closed there I heard. Danger danger. I ponder how long I can continue to work; reputedly home repair is an essential service/business, but I'm not sure -for example- installing a bead-board ceiling on a 40-ft wide front porch, over a perfectly servicable luaun porch ceiling, constitutes 'repair'. My truck is not lettered but I carry my license with me always- no one really knows what I'm doing out & about. Have probably 3 weeks lined up IF the deck job I also have greenlighted DOES gets delayed. That'll take a good 5 weeks if it's still on. There's ALWAYS the B-59 to keep me busy.

State should be at fault for licensing the driver. Do trucking companies routinely duplicate state testing procedures, or do they assume the state is actually certifying drivers when they give them a commercial license?

A. These are sticker prices; no one gets sticker (other than the C8). B. ALL top trims of ALL vehicles are stickered at mad levels. We sometimes talk here like it’s only GM for some reason.

You were confusing revenue with profit there, but you correctly stated it with the last line. If you can take in $1000/day in revenue, but the COST of doing so is $1250, would you do it? Have we seen any specifics on Tesla supercharger's bottom line? I doubt it's profitable given Tesla's miserable balance sheet, but I've no idea... other than the fact if it were a 'red hot income deal'- plenty of companies would be getting into them, rather than a handful. The logistics, legalese and variables in local costs could be considerable and off-putting. Telsa was FORCED to install these early on to allay EV range fears. I question strongly whether they're ultimately necessary beyond interstates.

Would need to incorporate a high-strength 'ring' around each side opening, and tie that together across the windshield and rear window- like a roll cage. The problem is; race cars with roll cages don't weigh 7,000 lbs.

I would love for the Silverado crew to go suicide, but it’s likely roll-over standards would not allow a cabin of that length without a B-Pillar. Sigh.

There are very tangible advantages AND disadvantages to having long time experience building a complex consumer product. I would think the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages tho.
