  1. [gonna jump in here before ocnblu nabs this] ~ You only eat once a year???
  2. Looks 15 years newer than any other EV SUV... now just build it LIKE SHOWN.
  3. You told us EVs would be the "majority" [IE: over 50%] of the market by 2025. Why would 50%of gas pumps be ripped out when there are 270 million IC vehicles in the U.S., and EVs are only selling 350K per year??
  4. ^ Nahhhh, yer wrong; it's boring, it sucks, its uncompetitive, everything else is better, the rear is bland, the plastics are bad, the tech is behind, the power is low, the drive wheels are front, the speakers suck, the leather is thin, the engine is shared, the brand is damaged, it's not a BMW, it's not a MB, it's not a alfa-romeo, it's not a volvo, it's not an acura, it's not a jagooooo-ar, it's not an audi, I like audi's, audi's are great, audi's are greater than cadillacs, government motors.
  5. 6. Looks like a rag top atop the windshield to me! I got my hands full on the B-59, and I don't do 4-drs. ;)
  7. Thanks, ebbybuddy.
  8. My buddy/his family has had an old Mazda Tribute, now they have a honda CRv & mazda CX5. No one seems to like the CX5- he especially finds it annoying on numerous fronts, the nannies at times are actually dangerous, visibility is the worst of the 3. He's demo'd a few of it's quirks and I agreed with him. The CRV is only somewhat better than the CX5 on some fronts, but visibility & servicing is terrible. Its interesting- on the CX5 the front 'bumper' only protrudes about 1.5" beyond the leading edge of the hood. Basically, OEMs have rendered the entire front (100% plastic) fascia as sacrificial- there is no longer bumper protection (for the vehicle). In any decent hit, the fenders & hood are going to get trashed, too.
  9. My birth year is entered incorrectly, but the mathematical calculation is correct (2017 = 2 yrs old). Imma gonna change it to....... 39 years old. Yeah; 39. EDIT :: Whee! - the internet says I'm 39. must be true!
  10. Yea- same concept, just seems like a 2500-3500 is a dedicated 'work truck', but cross-country hauling is work too. If people can handle $800/mth payments, more power to 'em.
  11. Column shifter OR pushbuttons- just don't use valuable real estate for a console shifter/ knob. ALL I've seen of the '19 Ram (1500) is the Limited interior- but the vast bulk of Rams sold are NOT going to be $80K Limiteds. Going to hazard to guess the Trademan interior is a mile & a half away from the Limited. The idea of a Limited interior in a HD is both ridiculous and pretty cool.
  12. My wife has told me, at times, I'm like a 2 yr old, and we don't want to argue with HER, so; yeah- 2.
  13. Here's yet another to-be likely scenario. You're buzzing along on a multi-hour trip in your EV pod, chilluns in the back, vehicle is blinking 'low volts', you buzz into a charging station and all the chargers are full. Now, vs. a fuel station where you may wait 5 or even 10 mins for a pump to open up and fuel in 3, you may wait 30-45 mins for a charger then another 45 mins to charge. You just spent an hour & a half in a 'dirty, buzzing' charging station. I'd blow my brains out if I had to sit at a fuel station that long. At the 15 min mark.
  14. There's a big problem with that, and we've ALL seen Gov't projected end dates fail / get pushed back before. Look at cigarettes- lawmakers have been turning the screws on smoking for 60 YEARS - there's zero benefit to it other than some people have a preference for the habit. Why isn't it banned yet? Very difficult to do. And while it MAY work in a couple of countries and actually stick, it's not the way here. RE EVs- IMO the U.S. will NEVER ban IC vehicles. I actually do mean "never" on this one.

  16. Based on that one CGI image, it could ONLY be super annoying. If you need neon green arrows to flash at you in order to execute a turn right in front of you in broad daylight, you should not be licensed to drive.
  17. Not saying you 'said anything' - just a general response to those who've damned GM for the same thing. Goose/gander, right?
  18. oh HELL yes ~
  19. ^ Many valid points. • No doubt that 43K number does NOT include home units- I believe the idea in play here is 'fueling' while out- there is no 'anxiety' at the owner's home. • I agree that having a surplus of charging stations out & about goes a long way to reducing range anxiety and is nicely ahead of the sales curve. However I cannot help but to wonder- what if charging stations continue to expand at their admirable rate of installation, but EVs take another 20 years to get to just 5% of the market??
  20. How HEARTLESS; right when employees' holiday credit card bills will hit! BOYCOTT JLR; no public company should EVER fire a SINGLE employee!!! ?
  21. Not really a 'spot' but stickin it in here anyways. I stored this '63 in my shop a little over a year for a relative, he finally sold it in Dec. and the guy paid up/picked it up today. He has restored other Corvettes, says he's going to do this one, too. Original 340 HP 327 4bbl/4-spd car. Will need a body-off going over- has been sitting since 1969 (!!!!). Godspeed, lil plastic Chevy!
  22. Interesting juxaposition : EV charge stations are at 25% of fuel stations in the U.S. by count, yet EVs are only 2% of vehicles.
