I grew up in that era too. Mid '70s thru the 80s = the Spam of the steak world.- Cadillac Introduces Limited-Edition XT5 Sport Package
Right. Cadillac has V-Sport and V levels above this (tho not on the XT5 currently).- Random Thoughts Thread
^ HELLYEAH. I was u-tubin around last night looking for 'old sleeper drag car'- this made my day. Schwing! - - - - - '74 Bugatti revival attempt :- Cadillac Introduces Limited-Edition XT5 Sport Package
No different than when mercedes owners go on Amazon to buy a bunch of adhesive-backed 'AMG' emblems & Buick VentiPorts to stick on their c300. People like appearance packages.- $106K Buick... and climbing
I love how Buick / McLaren built a killer, iconic performance job, but I've been in these and I can't stand the era. The interiors are horrible, despite how pretty cool ESP the GNX looks outside. Hard pass from me.- $106K Buick... and climbing

Here's the allegedly troublesome 'stripes' that 'confused' the Tesla. This area is too busy, with too many lights/side streets- I'm surprised autopilot would even activate here, I'm sure that can be checked thru Tesla... maybe driver was blaming autopilot to cover his own poor driving.- Random Thoughts Thread

As I continue to list/document Pontiac dealers, I've come across a number of this sort of arrangement, which is utterly alien to us now. Multiple 'automotive-PLUS' dealerships :- Chicago 2019: 2020 Subaru Legacy: Comments
"Full-size" is merely a label; what constitutes such today still isn't. At some point what still is called 'full-size' now will be gone, and cars like an accord will be branded 'full-size'. Self-delude at your own risk. I weigh vehicle physical size much higher than interior cubic volume- which I've never had the occasion to use in it's entirety.- Tesla Cuts Model 3 Price Again

It's absolutely a very long term thing. Rivian starts at $70K (website says "$61,500 after federal tax credit" but that's highly disingenuous)- that's a huge pill to swallow. Everybody can consider everything, but guess what one of the 3 legs of the Consideration Stool is? Cost. A Lambo Hurricane would work for me as a local errand / estimate vehicle, but guess what.- What have we done? 2016 Malibu 1LT 1.5t
^ That's cool, I realize GM has put dieting on the short list, and that's good. It's also spurred a number of other OEMs to follow suit. Generally speaking as I was tho, vehicles have gotten extremely porky vs. their size.- What have we done? 2016 Malibu 1LT 1.5t
Progressively wider, 'all season' tires have pushed cars into AWD powertrains for winter traction. It's not weight-driven, as cars now are heaver relative to their footprint than ever before.- February Car Spotting
Had some correspondence in the past with Crawford while researching the Argonaut car. They had a Argonaut-branded neo-classic in the '90s but lost track of it. I found out online it has gone to Japan and it's getting fairly ratty. Looks like an awesome place. Of course; this statement is relative. The Model 3 is an EV anomaly; no other EVs' "get bought" relative to the 3 (2018: 139K), but if you omit the Model 3, the Bolt, Volt & Clarity were neck & neck last year at 18K sales. Model X was just above at 25K. These other models are in the top 7 in EV / PHEV sales... it's just that EV sales in general are pathetic right now.- VW News: No Volkswagen Plug-In Hybrids Are Coming to the U.S.

I kinda think the Bolt is "cute". - - - - - These trucks are 'Relay's, built in Wabash Indiana from '27-33. They had an interesting 6x4 model with dual inline 8s and dual transmissions that each drove one of the 2 rear axles. Did a quickie google image search for 'Relay truck' and nothing came up- wonder how many survived.- VW News: No Volkswagen Plug-In Hybrids Are Coming to the U.S.
