    Job Interview

Give a nice firm handshake, no dead fish. Have good eye contact, but don't stare.
  5. Satty, I'll continue to go incognito. I wouldn't want to shatter anyone's fantasy in that I look nothing like Mr. Peter Pan.
  6. For those of you who can't get enough of Peter Pan:
  7. Agree about the Aurora-powered Intrigue. The Intrigue OSV had the 4.6 liter Northstar, which means they were thinking about it.
  8. There's been talk that next year's Camry will offer AWD. The RX330 and Highlander are the same platform, so they already have the mechanicals. As for Toyota buying into Fuji, GM's loss is Toyota's gain. And yep, it seems that Toyota was after the factory in Indiana. Toyota is like a runaway freight train, consuming everything in its wake. It sure helps when you're sitting on $10B in cash.

  10. That the OSV's were not produced was a huge disappointment. These cars got great press, and they looked good. They would have brought a lot of excitement to Oldsmobile showrooms. I can't help but think that maybe pressure from the other divisions prevented these from going to fruition? The final Oldsmobile concept car was the O4 roadster, and it was on Opel mechanicals. Perhaps there was thought back then that Olds and Opel would go on a parallel track similar to where Saturn is going?
  11. Very rich people aren't that way because they like to throw away money. These cars are $10K overpriced. It will be harmful to Cadillac if the market perceives this and stays away from the cars, because they will be seen as failures. The regular XLR hasn't exactly set the luxury roadster market on fire.
  12. It's an S10. I had a GMC S15 with the (un)mighty 2.8 liter. The fuel filter got plugged once, and it ran really poor.
  13. Last year the GTP model had the S/C engine, and it was sold alongside the GXP. This year, the GTP model was dropped, and the GT got the S/C engine.
  14. The Autoweek story has an error in that it mentions that the supercharged version is dropped. As we all know, it's still offered in the Grand Prix GT.
  15. The interior is still the high point of the vehicle. The outside just seems incredibly bland, but I guess it's a clean look. As for the front end, in these pictures it perhaps doesn't look as odd. Still, the headlight cluster is too tall, and why such big, prominent round amber DRL's over the main headlight? The grill tapers down too much. This accentuates height. It would look better balanced if it was broader at the bottom. The wheels look good. Eight spokes for the Denali are unexpected.
  16. Amen, bowtie_dude.

    GMC Yukon

I'm not feeling that front. Looks droopy.
  18. The Bonneville's a good car. Too bad this generation didn't debut with the cleaner mid-season looks or a dashboard that doesn't look like it's designed for teenagers.
  19. Interesting that the premium for the hybrid is so small. Is the technology on this vehicle less expensive than what the competition offers, or is GM going to take a bigger loss on these vehicles than the competitors? I guess it would improve the truck fleet's CAFE slightly, but not enough to matter.

    Bad stretch jobs

  21. Perhaps it's just a brief lull after the major push for the ending of employee pricing on Friday. It was probably a pretty quiet weekend for GM dealers with most prospective buyers doing business earlier in the week. Maybe there's a major new campaign set to debut tomorrow?
  22. Yesterday I saw a faded black GMC Syclone.
