  1. Maybe a '66 Artesian Turquios with American Racing Torq Thrusts like this
  2. What wheels would you go with? I like the American Racing Torq Thrusts on my Nova.
  3. Let me know if you want it checked out. Little higher mileage, but looks clean (in pics anyway).
  4. http://hartford.craigslist.org/cto/3232969030.html
  5. I like that blue and white truck, though I'd skip the riser hood and hood stripes.
  6. I wrote to the seller and asked for pictures of this one. http://newhaven.crai...3208753006.html Still no response from this seller.
  7. Akerson is pushing to CENTRALIZE, not decentralize... http://www.detroitnews.com/article/20120818/AUTO0103/208180317
  8. So, what does your task list look like to complete the Mothertruck? Picking the paint scheme is interesting, but assuming you buy a donor, what needs to happen between donor acquisition to taking it to the paint booth?
  9. What's the Mothertruck market value once you fix it? Or is the intent to fix and drive?
  10. Maybe the guy with the red, low mileage 2500 will e-mail back...who knows.
  11. I wrote to the seller and asked for pictures of this one. http://newhaven.crai...3208753006.html I e-mailed too. Haven't heard anything back from this guy. I hate it when people advertise, then don't respond! If you get to the point of wanting to investigate the black 3500, let me know. Is it close enough to you? I don't want to impose. Right now, I'm thinking about sending that seller an e-mail. It's like 20-30min away. No problem to go check it out...specific list of trouble spots to check would be helpful though. $9K makes it more of a budget buster as you've still got to hang a plow on it (unless the ROPOS's transfers).

  13. You never know! I can check it out easily, so we'll see if the seller responds. My plane sounded too good to be true when I read the ad too...and it had no pictures, but it was the real deal when I investigated. Sometimes sellers just don't advertise well...

  15. I just hope they bring back two-tone paint as an option on the Sierra after the redesign. Still concerned about they will do to the extended cab models too.
  16. Thanks for taking a look! It seems all of the trucks in New England need brake lines - bloody salt! No problem. I'll keep my eyes open. I just did new rotors and pads on my GMC earlier in the year and was surprised the shop DIDN'T tell me I needed new lines! Several New England states switched to this green stuff as a snow pre-treatment for the roads. Prior to that, the GM frame coating on my truck was intact after 9 years. After the past few winters, I can't say that anymore...it seems to eat everything!
  17. White truck wasn't on the lot. Sales guy I spoke with said it was out getting mechanical repairs done...brake lines and some issue with the transmission cross-member... So maybe not a viable candidate. He did say the body was good and it ran well. Also said it's a little early for 'truck season', maybe more alternatives will appear in the coming months.
  18. That white Silverado 2500 in CT is still calling I may take a ride and investigate it anyway -- supposed to rain, so not much else to do...
  19. Another CT candidate I could investigate if interested: http://www.pickuptrucks.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tab=photos&paId=460098688&recnum=&listingId=92273860&paId=460098688&listingRecNum=3&criteria=sf1Dir%3dASC%26mkId%3d20053%26stkTyp%3dU%26mdId%3d22128%26rd%3d50%26crSrtFlds%3dstkTypId-feedSegId-mkId-mdId%26zc%3d06489%26rn%3d0%26PMmt%3d1-1-0%26stkTypId%3d28881%26sf2Dir%3dASC%26sf1Nm%3dprice%26sf2Nm%3dmiles%26isDealerGrouping%3dfalse%26rpp%3d50%26feedSegId%3d28705&tracktype=usedcc&pageNumber=&numResultsPerPage=50&largeNumResultsPerPage=0&sortorder=descending&sortfield=PRICE&certifiedOnly=false&&aff=trucks
  20. A PA candidate: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tab=summary&recnum=&actLog=&listingId=95196502&paId=467068502&listingRecNum=1&criteria=sf1Dir%3dDESC%26mkId%3d20053%26stkTyp%3dU%26mdId%3d20377%26rd%3d250%26crSrtFlds%3dstkTypId-feedSegId-mkId-mdId%26zc%3d06479%26rn%3d0%26PMmt%3d1-1-0%26stkTypId%3d28881%26sf2Dir%3dASC%26sf1Nm%3dprice%26sf2Nm%3dmiles%26isDealerGrouping%3dfalse%26rpp%3d50%26feedSegId%3d28705&tracktype=usedcc&pageNumber=&numResultsPerPage=50&largeNumResultsPerPage=0&sortorder=descending&sortfield=PRICE&certifiedOnly=false&&aff=national
  21. What about this one? http://newhaven.craigslist.org/ctd/3128142246.html (dealer site shows 1K lower price than CL) I could go check it out if you have any interest.
  22. That sucks. Sorry you went all that way and neither truck panned out. Disappointing the seller didn't give you a detailed enough description to avoid the trip...
  23. Improves the odds you're coming home with something after that drive! Too bad they pre-date the GM supplied hours meter on the engine...
