    ....

I take back my comments on the other thread about the BLS-inspired interior. Edit: The HVAC vents cut into that part of the dash look cheap to me. Other than that nitpick, the rest looks pretty good.
  2. Even without NAFTA, I would believe it would still be cheaper to produce in Mexico. Hopefully this keeps some of the wetbacks down there instead of becoming "guestworkers."
  3. I got to see the video and...wow. Everything looks great and I am happily surprised. I love the front and the rear, very aggressive and blunt design. In other words, how it should be. I was not that impressed with the BLS-inspired center stack on the interior shot but to say it is much better than the current CTS interior is an understatement. I was wishing the reporter ripped off that cover.
  4. I am at school now but as soon as I get home you can bet the segment will be playing on my computer. Based on the comments, I am in for a show.
  5. Even though I am not a fan of the Fudgeline and only somewhat like the Civic coupe, I say Honda is well within its right to advertise these awards, conspiracy theories or not. The 300 was the "most-awarded new car" in history...and was advertised even more heavily.
  6. I think it will bring it new customers. People that want a normal-looking midsize car (no Prius) that is not too expensive and actually gets good mileage (no Accord Hybrid). Yes, it will probably attract more Camry owners than new buyers but in this market every new buyer counts.
  7. We all saw this happening. Jeep needed this years ago when gas was cheap and big SUVs were the thing. The market is thinning and only the best will survive. In this case, large GM SUVs are the best and look at how they are selling. Jeep waited too long and when it finally got along to producing the car, it was not the best or close to the best.
  8. Some people on both sides are so tiring.
  9. Perhaps because it is lighted? The photos Variance posted summed up everything. While we can argue all day about the differences between blue-on-black and black-on-grey displays, the interior design, integration and materials (yes, I have been in both) in the Camry are superior to that of the Impala.
  10. Just remember to wear kneepads just in case you happen to impact the rough lower dash area. Seriously, though, great choice! The color is great, definately the best the Lucerne looks in. I am guessing it came with the tan interior, which I think looks great, too.
  11. Exactly. That's what I meant when I mentioned the Enclave's interior and, what I think, is the only thing not up to par in an otherwise amazing automotive interior.
  12. I understand the comment about another bloated truck-thing. I was kind of thinking the same thing, too. I do not fully agree with GMC getting this but I understand why GM is giving it to the brand. I am not a huge fan of the new GMC styling, I think it looks weak and too refined for professional grade. Are we now dealing with professional grade office workers? Soccer moms? The interior looks alright but the black plastic around the center HVAC vents needs to be replaced with wood to break up the almost solid black dashboard. I like how the corporate radio/HVAC controls are incorporated into the center stack better than the Enclave.
  13. If the media covered every single problem every car sold in the U.S. had our newspapers would be hundreds of pages in length and news shows would be hours long. They only pick up on stories for crash tests, recalls, interesting vehicles or when your company is bleeding red (or black) ink.
  14. I know Hollywood. A free pass wouldn't get me to see it. I was dragged to the recent Star Wars movie by friends and I thought it was pretty good. I was kind of surprised, actually, because I did not think I would like it. Granted, I am not a fan and have not seen the other movies but it was entertaining to me. I loved how everything looked so futuristic. Dorky, I know.
  15. Got that one right.
  16. How a rebadge should be done. The interior looks pretty nice from that shot. Suzuki has to work hard on its cars, too.
  17. A better interior would be 10x better.
  18. Wow, you guys have discovered that every car manufacturer has their share of problems. Congratulations!
  19. At an auto show, too. I should have taken a picture of what I could do with the Lucerne's dash. A lot scarier.
  20. My family recently switched our Internet over to Verizon DSL as well as our long distance, local service, cell phones and soon our televisions. Much better service and apparently you get some good discounts for having everything with them. Good luck!
  21. Lifted vehicles...ugh.
  22. I do not know about you but I would guess that is a general assessment of new car buyers, foreign or domestic.
  23. A new Camry was at the local mall today and it had a lunchtime crowd around it. I didn't have time to inspect but as I was walking by a heard a guy exclaim to his dad (I believe), "That's a Camry?" Whether or not you like it, you have to admit normal people are going to be somewhat surprised about the new design. Only time and sales will tell if that is a good thing.
