AAA Names Its Top Car Picks for 2006
I love the XJ.

Edmunds: Japanese First Drive: Honda Fit
It is not made to be a race car. These cars are supposed to be cheap and frugal for first-time, low-income or "I just use it to drive to the train station" drivers.

Edmunds Full Test: 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser
Would you rather have $1,000-2,000 rims while offroading or a steel wheel?

Question about the Jeep Grand Cherokee
In high-end Benz cars, not your normal C or E Class. I am talking about the top-of-the-line S Class and the like, with leather everywhere.

.....
I love the current Vue, even though I hated it when I first saw the photos of the updated look. Compare it to what was, however, and it looks much more modern and upscale. I am sure the next-gen will continue the upward march of the Vue and Saturn.

Buick Lucerne
Some cars look really classy in white. For the Lucerne, I would have to agree with Stoopsbuick, the sharkskin looks very nice.

Toyota Yaris: Why is toyota so stupid?
The Fit's interior is way too busy, just like the interior in the Civic, and both are ugly, IMO. Yes, you have your opinion, also. Just one question, though. Why would you expect a high-end economy car model?

Toyota Yaris: Why is toyota so stupid?
Wouldn't be that far from GM.

Cadillac BLS In Depth
Even though I like it, I would not bring the BLS to North America because it is FWD. Yes, that reason alone. Slap some AWD on it or wait until EpII (it will be able to carry FWD/AWD/RWD, right?)

Question about the Jeep Grand Cherokee
Exactly. If I am buying a $30,000 car, the materials better represent that. No one is saying every surface in the interior of a GM or DCX or Toyota should be covered in leather and suede, save that for high-end Benz and the like. All we want are materials that look and feel like they should be in a car of XX,XXX price range.

Autoextremist: What GM should look like.
So Buick is left with 2 models and Saturn and Pontiac are left with 3? You might as well cut one of them, too, so you can make the two that are left nameplates with an actual lineup.

Question about the Jeep Grand Cherokee
I was in one at the car show and it was horrible. You could kill someone by rubbing their body up against the plastics. The only soft touch item is the leather on the steering wheel and seats.

Does Buick need another sedan?
I was thinking somewhat along the lines of Acura. An entry-level FWD car (a little bit smaller than the current LaCrosse; Passat-sized), a mid-size FWD car (slightly smaller than the current Lucerne size) and a large car (slightly larger than the current Lucerne, Grand Marquis-ish). I think there is a market for it, especially if it is RWD. The entire lineup should not be RWD because that is Cadillac's territory. I can see where you are coming from, though. I kind of cringe at having a smaller Buick than the LaCrosse but the entry-level car could change the way people look at Buick and effect the average buying age positively.

New Cadillac CTS?
Thank God it (hopefully) will not look like that. Too Benz-looking and mishmashed.

Newsweek on the return of Detriot
I'm with Reg when it comes to the Camaro. It is on that line for me, bordering on too retro. Anything past the neo-retro of the Camaro and it is a complete deal breaker. It is cool to borrow styling cues here and there, inject some heritage into modern styling, that is fine. Blatantly copying past designs is not. You really only appeal to a small group of diehard enthusiasts who would love to feel like they are 20 years old again. With muscle cars, you kind of have to do that in order to sell cars (GTO is a prime example). With the entire lineup of retroized cars, it will be extremely hard to redesign them. How is GM going to redesign the HHR? Chrysler the PT? BMW the Mini? VW the New Beetle? Besides minor facelifts and model line additions, it cannot be done.
