  1. No doubt Toyota's aggressive strategy is mainly the reason for all of their most recent problems. Hopefully management will notice and slow things down a bit as well as triple checking all new designs. The new Tundra has to have ZERO problems when it comes out or else there will be big problems. No ball joint issues there.
  2. Prices will skyrocket now that the price of a barrel of oil is over $70. Iran, stuff in Nigeria, Iraq and Venezuela all have something to do with it. That and I firmly believe oil companies are playing games.
  3. Never been caught, either, but almost everyone does it and almost everyone knows. Paulie, so is it true college roommates get to know each other fairly well? I don't live in a dorm.
  4. But they can be "rehabilitated!"
  5. I like the cream colors on both, too.
  6. GM better use all its might against the oil companies or else a turn around consisting of large SUVs, trucks and crossovers will not only turn the company into a laughing stock, it may also be the final straw.
  7. Perhaps Toyota will come up with a hybrid ethanol vehicle?
  8. According to Bill O'Reilly, $400 million.
  9. Lambda still results in huge vehicles that do not get great gas mileage.
  10. I think the side profile looks too much like an Altima's. I still hate the hood cut line.
  11. I think it is not symmetrical because the center stack is angled towards the driver. Fly should be complaining...
  12. I think the Bentley used to, Dodgefan. I am not sure if it has been updated.
  13. With tons of reserve cash and growing market share, it should be.
  14. Exactly, whoever wants to make ethanol and hybrid vehicles has my blessing. The ex-CEO (or something along those lines) of ExxonMobile received a $400 MILLION retirement package. I threw away my Speedpass earlier today. GM needs more ethanol vehicles on the road and advertisements. The hybrid SUVs couldn't come faster.
  15. The reports of new Camrys being held up at the Toronto compound so the problem could be fixed were from a reliable source.
  16. Turbie, you're great. At this point, the Malibu is out of the game. The G6 looks great on the outside but needs an interior redo. While one part of me wants GM to drop the I4 in the G6 (V6 excitement) and put it in the Aura, another part wants both cars to have the engine to attract as many customers as possible. The G6 lineup is also confusing to me with 4 (?) different engines, 3 (?) different transmissions, etc. Costs could be lowered if people would nail down their choices. The Aura looks alright on the outside and has a fairly good interior but the center stack needs some work as it appears to be the only blemish on an otherwise competitive offering. Something about this whole lineup of GM midsize cars is so confusing but I cannot put a finger on what.
  17. Why does it have to be there, anyway? Just make the wood go right up against the controls, perhaps with a metallic edge trim? That is a nicer combination than the brown leather/brown wood we have seen, even though I love the leather. BTW, what is the difference between a GM radio display and a Toyota clock that both look like they came from Big Lots?
  18. There are bound to be bugs in the first cars of a redesign but there really is no excuse for it. The problems to have been worked out beforehand.
  19. It looks dated (from the front) and has a terrible V6 powertrain but at least the exterior is much improved than its Sonata cousin.
  20. The 70+ year olds will not be back to buy another car. The 23-year old will.
  21. The steering wheel controls are not similar on all Camry's because a lower-level Camry will not have the same features and gadgets of an upper-level Camry, which requires more steering wheel controls. So, to smartly cut costs, Toyota places the controls that every Camry steering wheel will have one side while placing the extra controls on the other.
  22. The Fit interior may have nice materials but I am not a fan of its design. It looks way too busy, especially for an economy car. I prefer the simple layout and different (for an econobox) look of the Yaris and new Aveo.
