I told you guys before, that the thing does not look as horrid as in the pictures. In fact the little changes give the car a distinct characteristics. GM photogs need to be sent to Himalayas for Nirvana.

Yes it is a Duramax 2.8L with 5 speed manual transmission. That would be a good combo. It gives me a M Klasse vibe looking aft the C pillar. -
I like his approach better than VW strategy to become #1 by 2018.

There is certainly some Modellista aerodynamic kit option going in the car, but the car looks better than the Genesis.

The last STS before it went RWD was on the Aurora platform. The last Bonneville was also on the Aurora platform, it even got Cadillac's Northstar. But the Aurora platform is probably the greatest platform of all time, in the world. Considering you own it and that you seek perfection, luxury, elusive refinement rags talk about but have no clue, it has to be the greatest car of all time.

Naah mini needs to make all vehicles on a RWD platform. Then only it will be considered real enthusiasts vehicle.

Some would say it is the ONLY factor. The question is, do they know which wheels drive the car? For everyone except SMK and maybe 3 others, once the car is AWD and longitudnal engine layout, what the car is "based" on no longer matters.

Lighter by 136 lb than the CTS in RWD.

Are you forgetting the Lutz-ring? That has most of the difficult turns/corners from the Nurn mimicked.

Wow compared to the pork from Germany this car is really light and yet will match Teutonic equipment level. Kudos to Toyota.

Cadillac does not have to spend entire eternity at the Ring as GM's proving grounds are not made from marshmallow straights.

The fact that XTS will outsell RL, A6 with minimum investment is victory itself provided it uses the profits for other vehicles to compete and overthrow the German brands. Yes that is my fear too till I see ZTS, ATS, revised CTS and a super car in person. Negative nannies, Pencil Pushers, Bean Counters from yore are still existing in GM and have shown forces at times. Resting the laurel on XTS while its sale go through the roof is not enough.
