eBay Dreaming...
It wasn't quite 'last-minute,' but these were destined to be Antareses, not Auroras. Though I haven't personally driven one, I wouldn't expect the 215/230 3.5l Shortstar to have any issues with the '01 Auroras; 205/230 3800s do fine in the LeSabre, Bonnie, and Park Ave. Also, the 2nd-gen Auroras were about 200lbs lighter than the Classics

Cadillac BLS In Depth
I never said I'd drop it. You did. And you keep posting about it. As I said, you don't like the car, fine. But some people do and you exaggerating and browbeating the damn thing into the ground won't stop it from being built.

3. Tricycles rock. Yea or nay?

CHARGER SRT
I think you lost because you compared it to the M5. Maybe an M3 because the CTS is a 3-Series rival size-wise.

CHARGER SRT
Yes, this is getting very, very circular. Can't we just settle this over a nice warm cup of rice?

What Decade of Music Do You Like?
Rod Stewert, Temptations, and Dean Martin > John Denver. Sorry. BeeGees rock though.

What Decade of Music Do You Like?
80s, 60s, and 50s.

6767?
Back in the days when Chrysler built their Letter Series cars with style instead of smoothed boxes with cut-n'-paste cues. Also, back when the next in the series took the following letter of the alphabet.

There's an Exxon up ahead. Better pull in, 'cause your argument is running on empty.

HYUNDAI AZERA
I think most cars without a harmonica stuck in the grille look better than the 2nd-gen Avalon.

Where You Live
This is the bridge that took nearly three years to complete and had to be blown up twice because it was sinking. Good site survey, guys. This is an old shot of downtown. Scientology owns everything between the two up arrows... ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~^ I exaggerate slightly. Well, at least they're fixing things up alot better than the city commissioners are doing. Here's yet another crappy condo they plan to ruin our nice public beach with. I'll be sure to laugh extra hard when hurricane season comes again. Hey, its the world's crappiest junction of the two most congested roads in the county! Don't get me wrong, I do love living here, especially compared to the rest of the state - Orlando is too congested, Ft. Myers is too boring, Jacksonville is a big morass of everything, and Miami is like going to a foreign country, but not in that charming or even slightly appealing way.

Ever Dream of Being BV's Neighbor?
I like the ones here that have Save the Panther, Save the Everlades, or Preserve Florida Wildlife license plates on their Land Cruisers, the ones they drive home to a subdivision that likely paved over some wild habitat. Irony rocks.

Isn't this thing already 3 years-old? Yay, we get half-cycle leftovers.

2007 Toyota Camry Finally Out...
Not a fan of many addons and for some reason at that angle that Supra looks very Eclipse-y. However, I've always respected Supras. Truly great machines.

Autoextremist: What GM should look like.
If GMC can manage to separate itself more from Chevolet with classier, more distinctive, and unique vehicles, it can exist comfortably. It has so for decades as is.

Ever Dream of Being BV's Neighbor?
You're misusing the term then. McMansion is a derisive pharse used to describe a set of near identical homes chosen from a catalog loaded with fake, perverted architectual cues (high-pitched roofs, massive archways that serve no purpose) and placed in a subdevelopment with little to no yardage. High quality construction? Have you seen these things being built? Wood, wood, wood, wood. My house is an ugly old bungalow-style single-story house and its made out of cinderblock. No rot or termite worries here.
-
Ever Dream of Being BV's Neighbor?
No. I'll take my cheesy 1960s bungalow anyday. At least its true to what it is - a box to put your stuff in and sleep in. McMasions make me laugh, what with their faux columns, mishmashed styling cues, ugly slab stucco'd walls, ornate stree-facing facades and blase internment camp-style rears. Plus, all the ones I see are about 10 feet apart. Wow! What living! Let's move out to the country to get away from it all...then live right up on your neighbor just like it was in the city. Real brains at work there. Faux people faux 'owning' their faux luxury cars in their faux houses. A big pseudolifestyle.

Lutz Warns of Hazards in Global Industry
This is true. This country is full of people who prefer to blame all others before blaming themselves.

I have to write a paper on hybrid cars
Actually, the weight isn't that much, though the space required by a hybrid drivetrain entails some compromises in design (a bit less rear seat space in the Silverado/Sierra hybrids, no folding rear seat in the Civic/Camry hybrids). Most hybrids use Nickel-Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries, not lead-acid types. Or better yet, a modern economy car like a manual Civic, Cobalt, Corolla, etc that have good natural fuel economy and contemporary features and emissions control devices. You don't know this yet. You're guessing.Dude, this guy's trying to write a report. C'mon.
