  1. I love the Guardian as a news source.
  2. It held that honor for a long time. Crown vics have appeared frequently in more modern times.
  3. House of color Kandy pink with a hybrid toyota drivetrain. If your going to destroy it go all of the way. And yes that is sarcasm. I have a Henry Ford doll with pins and needles in it placed in my desk drawer at work though.
  4. That era of Fords I love also.
  5. Mid century modern archtecture rocks! CT6 Miata and Camaro ragtop please.
  6. I literally almost lost my dinner reading this...andcI am eating out at the minute. Times I have felt all of the above at the same time...is that a problem?
  7. Actually I am liking all of the FCA lineup as of late. Pacifica I had for a weekend rental was awesome over 4 days and 1500 miles. If that is indicative of the products FCA wants to sell count me in.
  8. I know I complain about the new stuff they build but I love the vintage stuff. I also have an odd fetish for four door sedans... That 57 Ford makes me very happy!
  9. Regulation can indeed be a good ting. Seat belts were resisted when I believe it was Ford (Balthazar, are you out there?) first brought them out in 56. How many lives have been saved by seat belts?
  10. I long for the good old days, when the only people embarrassing themselves on the internet or public TV were the trailer trash rednecks getting pulled out of cars on those stupid ride along with a cop cable TV shows. Now that the entire population is revealing they are really just as moronic stupidity is becoming a banality rather than a curiosity. So an additional government mandate will make cars more interesting?
  11. Sparky takes on a whole new meaning. Please quit holding back...tell us how you really feel. The dead short when you try to do a water crossing with enormous battery backs at the lowest point in the vehicle should just be epic. I can't wait for the YouTube videos to start coming out.
  12. Exactly....
  13. Ocnblu doesn't have an excuse not to go hybrid with that sexy thing. The streets of Lancaster Pennsylvania will never be safe from this thing and it's manly wrath towards lesser automobiles. Wonder if Israel will allow ICE if it is powered by Hummus?
  14. Won't matter in terms of Israel. All the surrounding nations have enough Toyota trucks to last until the year 2565. At which point it will no longer mattet because we will all be mutants.
  15. Crying shame that car is the last of its kind. Buying oats for horses when electric cars have not taken over. A Horse with no name will be pulled around by a horse with no name.
  16. Cadillac of that era is wonderful.
  17. They are a damned nice product. I park near a white one every day at work....it is really a nice truck. Very impressed, and I am pretty jaded from an automotive/truck point of view. That Era of Ford gets nothing but love from me. I have a friend who has an early 70's Camper special. Red and white. He lives in California.....it's rust free and has a 460. He keeps threatening to sell it. If I didn't have a wood shop in my garage, I could see that truck finding a very loving home in Ohio....living a life of luxury under a car cover.
  18. One born every minute... No, they will be too well financed and the Chinese actually govern themselves like adults, unlike what we see in Washington from both parties. Once the Chinese get their foot in the door they will be here to stay permanently. Managed to convince the rental company to give me a Pacifica for this weekends debate trip. Chrysler did that one right. I wish that Chrysler had stayed an American company and kept bringing out innovative product. They came so damned close. And yet they are so far....
  19. Given their cash flow....they won't need this. They are pretty much doomed to fail at any rate. Quoted for truth.
  20. If they can stay solvent financially, they may have a winner on their hands.
  21. Agree completely. The current Conti is something that should have come around a long time ago.
