Jaguar News: Rumorpile: Jaguar Considers Going Fully Electric
Considering how many cars Tesla sells the market is there. And if 25K electric cars ever get into production without a government surplus, the internal Combustion power-train will start to face real trouble.

Hyundai News:Hyundai is Planning More Design Distinction For Their Models
I am so spoiled on the big American sedans of the 60's and 70's that nothing else has ever come close. When they can build a car as sexy as my aunts Buick Wildcat, my neighbors 1970 Bonneville, my Grandfathers Olds 98....call me. These cars set the bar for me as a young boy...and budding enthusiast. Until then everything else in the puff cruiser realm is a weak imitation. Sort of like wanting an autocross prepped Miata and getting a Barbie edition Fiat 500 Cabriolet... Both the Miata and 500 are small convertibles...but that is where the similarity ends. Chocolate wrapped Bacon seems to fit well with the Barbie edition 500 Cabriolet.....just an idea no one should have tried.

The lack of a sport compact would do it for me. At least with Ford we ahve the RS and the ST twins, until Focus and Fiesta get the plug pulled on them.

Hmmm....Okay. The last of the Interbreeds and Concordes fell to rust and transmission failure seemingly years ago here in Central Ohio. My memory (like much of the rest of my so called thinking...) is probably flawed. Thankfully, youngest kid goes away to college next year...so Beetle can be trade in fodder for a BRZ or Miata. Back into a fun car....could not convince the wife we needed a V8 Camaro.

2019 Chevy Silverado 2.7-liter, 4-cylinder hits 23 mpg
At my kids middle school a few years ago woman who was 4-8, 90 pounds at best, drove a lifted Hummer H2 with oversized tires. We frequently wound up parking next to each other. me at that time 5'11 and driving a MINI Cooper S. And hanging truck balls...although a few of those ladies could probably piss further standing up than any guy here. We have a secretion (and yes, secretion not section) of town (Johnstown, small community outside of Columbus) where yuppies have moved into the bro dozer community. Everything is either an Audi SUV or an F350/Ram 3500 dually diesel. LOTS of Bro dozer type trucks rolling coal over there.

Right...and when Hyundai builds a distinctive car, Ocnblu and i will show up in matching Ford Focus electrics to celebrate. Mixing BMW thinking in with Hyundai design...is turning my stomach before lunch... What for gods sake is the design look for involuntarily celibate and overweight female office worker? ....ohh wait...that would be Kia Soul. Maybe they can learn something from Kia...

Might be painful, metal conducts electricity.

The truck overcompensation I would like is an Ls6 1970 El Camino...in honor of our once frequent member. Maybe a camper Special 396 powered half ton as a garage mate. Overcompensation is not always bad.

Not to be political, but given the mishandling of trade by both political parties and the apathy of the American people...the 21st century will be the Chinese Century. 19th century should ahve been the French century but it was the British century. 20th Century should ahve been the Germany century but it was the American century. 21st century should ahve been another American Century but it will belong to the Chinese. We might as well hand them dominance in electric cars...we have handed them everything else on a silver platter.

Top 10 and Bottom 10 - 5 year Depreciation on Autos
Making luxury goods employs a lot of people. I have zero problem with it at all.

I am a Hellcat fan if that counts.

Top 10 and Bottom 10 - 5 year Depreciation on Autos
They have a market of ready buyers of people willing to step up to pay it. In a lot of the better urban neighborhoods people will pay a million dollars for a house just to tear down for the lot. What you want, and exactly what you want, can carry a huge price tag. On worth Avenue on Palm beach a sweater is 3 grand...again....if you have a luxury good that people want, people will pay.

Years of building product that is not as desirable as the competition put them there. I still say that Ford will be fine. Dropping passenger cars and building vehicles they are passionate about (transit, F series, large SUV, luxury SUV, Mustang) is a huge win for them. I am more concerned about GM actually.
