  1. A lot of luxury car leases are subsidized by the car maker I think.
  2. Ohhh I agree with your point of view. There are about four levels of automotive class above the Audi and the Interceptor. They are like a decent high school Freshman football game. Cars like the GTI and WRX STI and the Ford Focus RS are like a good high school varsity game. Cars like the Miata are like a good D2 or D3 game.... 60's Pontiacs and thirties Fords are like Watching Alabama play Georgia. Duesenbergs true classics and thoroughbred race cars are like Packers vs Steelers.
  3. It is cool in the same way that a Harlequin VW is cool. Just kind of odd and funky. Not everything can be a 60s era Pontiac. Although I would happily live in a world with nothing but 60s era Pontiacs.
  4. Drive what you love...I have cars on both highest and lowest list I would be proud to own. Most of the people buying them are not that worried about resale.
  5. On the contrary. I find it very impressive...just not something I wish to own.
  6. Father of one of my students drives an S class. That thing does have a presence.
  7. Say what you will about West Virginia and inbreeding but Appalachia is probably the one part of the world the US military does not want to invade. Link provided broken.
  8. Sadly I think a certain anti American bias exists in Europe that would hinder this from happening. In a real way a part of me would rather have the F series platinum also. Denali is just the bomb...
  9. You sound just as irrational as I do or Ocnblu does when you rant...I love being on a board with people who are passionate and not afraid of being partisan. I actually really like the Benz interior. And in this we agree completely.
  10. One really good fuel scare or if nothing else society is becoming more urban all of the time. And that will hit the F series especially hard. And I will give Ford credit here. They got the F series really really right.
  11. Which is part of its appeal. While I like to both the Audi and the interceptor there are cars from both eras and markets that are much more compelling I think.
  12. I don't know if I could see clear to owning one myself but Benz really does build some things with enthusiast appeal.
  13. They have a ton of cash on hand though. Much as I would like to see it happen I think they will weather through.
  14. It is a good looking car. And that is the fate for Lincoln...not Audi.
  15. Welcome my friend. Somehow the quote tag got in my name. I never said that.
  16. What do they Have to loose....? They are a respected luxury car maker.
  17. On the contrary....what does an electric motor do when it won't run...it hums...its just a different kind of hummer. And like many prequels a forced effort that bears no justice to the original script.
  18. I am not going to answer the Ford thing...I have ranted enough for ten lifetimes on THAT subject.
  19. 20 years is very different than 5. But yes...considering that a lot of markets that Jag sells in are essentially European or Asian with serious air quality concerns due to urban density, this is a no brainer.
  20. Now if GM had brought this out people here would be falling all over themselves talking about how it revived the heritage of Hummer. As it is...
  21. This and the lotus Caterham 7 are apparently the only two vehicles in history to be designed without compound curves anywhere in the bodywork. Spongebob Squarepants found his new ride! This would work well for my sisters catering company. Pretty good for a plastic model of a truck sold at Toys R US...ohhh wait....toys R US is gone....crying crocodile tears. For once...yes... Every day, politically, socially, morally our species sinks to a new low. Our society found a truck to reflect that... The plywood bodywork would catch fire in that oven.
  22. Yes on that Damn charger though.
