  1. If I were in the market, a 5-door GTI would be about the only thing that could lure me away from the Subaru I've began to covet. Already starting to lure me from the Cobalt SS TC (used) MINI Cooper S and the thought of another Miata.
  2. Hell yes! We could agree on a challenge...when is the last time you and I liked the same car?
  3. Sorry to hear that... Got to get a better car....
  4. Saw a good driving running 1975 El Camino that was Ohio Rusty but ran well...old skool RPOS as a stablemate for the RPOS?
  5. Interesting... Thinking VW GTI at the moment for the next ride...
  6. I hear you...I fixed an ice machine at a yuppie coffee shop this ayem...guy with an advanced degree in robotics working a carpentry job was waiting in line at the counter...got to talking to him while I was waiting for the ice to drop a second time... Economy SUCKS right now. A and called Periphery...
  7. It also needs valve seals, has questionable head gaskets, 200k miles... Not worth it. Yeah...and a junkyard three fifty will cost 6 to 8 hundred, and be of questionable value. Hope you get some good plowing jobs this winter...
  8. Would be my thinking on the matter...
  9. I'd give my left arm for a Toyota Camry...actually...just take my left arm, you can keep the car. Went to a rock concert with my 18 year old son, and 46 year old me thought it would be a great idea to get in the Mosh pit for the first time in a few decades...and spend about 4 hours there. Ended up moshing with a guy twice my size....knocked him on his keister...sore...esp. left arm Next day, pulling a -part off of a vehicle that hadn't run in awhile, had to reach up to a spot I couldn't see well into...and reached my left arm right into a nest of yellow jackets. painful! Had to go to the doctor, girl is usually great at drawing blood, she couldn't find a vein in my right arm for some odd reason, drew from the left. Took her forever to find a vein...ended up taking my doctor and twenty one year old daughter holding my arm down so that she could get the needle in...she was really digging around...ugh... Ever since I'e started with the Whole Screen name change thing....Fords have been doing wierd stuff in traffic...and I mean really wierd. A Fusion driven by an old couple almost ran me off of the road Saturday...and I've seen three Tauruses catch fore this week...one burst into flames in front of me on the way home. No kidding... And then looking off of a rooftop as I was doing some HVAC work...saw a wrecked car on a trailer...was a Taurus that had experienced an electrical fire of some sort...just plain odd. Yesterday wt work was one of the worst ever...put a new part in a unit and for no apparent reason the very expensive computer motherboard decided to blow up in spectacular fashion...don't know why... One of my co workers who has tons of experience and never makes mistakes created a huge Freon leak at our best customer, which was a mess...two other guys had similar luck...and then the owner of our company/my boss learned that he'd had a close family member killed in Afghanistan. Went to title the Chevy work van I just bought, and the lady at the title agency created a huge hassle for me... Enough of my bitching...bitch about your lives or whatever. Shared pain is good pain!
  10. They all must be coming to central Ohio, as I see a billion or so on the road here. What I am not seeing sell here in Honda country is the civic...I still haven't seen a new SI out in the wild, and Civics are becoming MUCH less common here in Columbus. Fiesta should have the low price market for Ford...
  11. 1 Series is too small for most buyers, who will want more room in car and more presence on the road. neat little car, but tanking in sales.
  12. VW is an up and coming car maker. Passat is doing well, GTI is doing well. Selling lots of Jettas. and the Beetle refresh should do wonders.
  13. ...and the title already has your name on it... Seriously, sounds like a good work truck.
  14. Good used motors are expensive, they seem to ahve gone up with the price of used cars. Wonder what a used motor for this thing costs.
  15. They are starting to loose resale value.... Are you working as a salesman for Suzuki now, reg?
  16. Oddly enough, traded in at the local Suziki dealership I see interesting cars being traded for Suzuki's...
  17. I just bought a decent 97 Chevy Astro cargo van that runs well...if you can make it to Ohio, i might be able to arrange a "loaner" to keep the wagon from being destroyed.
  18. Would love to have seen that! Another car that might have been interesting with more development...the Idea of a baby Cadillac is not bad...
  19. The 500 is one of those cars that given a little more development...could be great. As it is...not so much. MINI is going to have marketing issues methinks.
  20. Hopefully the wagon won't be going through a pee ayy winter... But then again....ughhh...is the RPOS drive able?
  21. Your doing better than the Fords...we've had thee Ford work trucks blow up within the last week...a diff..a motor...and another motor. (one motor is just a 5.4 that blew out a plug but...still) This has been a really crappy two or three weeks for me also....starting a "bitch" thread so we can all commiserate...
  22. I'll keep my fingers crossed, Bob!
  23. People are getting used to high gas prices, and still want fullsize vehicles. My neighbor just bought a new Tahoe.
