  1. Road runner I saw outside of a business on the east side.... Thought of Olds...personal luxury coupe...when I saw this.... Neat old Buick on the south end...
  2. LMAO...yes it does!
  3. I think Cash or small loan, paid for, and truck for weekend camping would suit your life style really well...and get you out of the constant cycle of buying cars. Now if GM only built something half car, half truck, sold it through Chevrolet and kept it inexpensive, and gave it a cool sounding name to make it sound like it came from California...El Camino Maybe....
  4. Or get a convertible and modify it slightly...this showed up at the last autocross, guy is changing it into an Opel clone...
  5. Or ever thought of doing a full resto?
  6. Chevy thrown in just for fun....
  7. Hot hatch...apparently...according to Car and Driver logic...saw this in a parking lot the other day, haven't seen one in forever...
  8. Why don't you do a project car as opposed to buying something "new" for you vehicle with the greater "mechanical" feel...? I always think of you for some reason when I think of this thing. Not usually into lowered trucks but I like this one for some odd reason.... Of course, you could always roll with something more old skool...wid de rims... Or here is an old Hilux truck I saw in a historical neighborhood in Columbus the other day....
  9. Bingo on the cheap Jeep on the internet thing... Saw a Chinese three wheeler for sale on a car lot in Columbus the other day....
  10. And here you and I would agree...looking through one of those buying guides at the library yesterday they rated the SX4 at a 2 on a scale of one to ten, and the Grand Vitara at a one.... Pretty much the SX4 claim to fame is that it is much, much, much more effective than the AMC Gremlin at being the automotive form of genital herpes.... Actually, I'd much rather drive a gremlin now that I think about it.
  11. Agreed.... Buying an older Jeep would b e wicked cool...
  12. I can understand that, although I am in the minority here and like both the Fit and the Fiesta...and the Velostar is along the lines of what Gm should b e building. Too bad they couldn't have kept up and grown with the creativity of the original Corvair line....lots of interesting original Corvair variants built by GM...
  13. But not having seen the Sonic I'd pretty much say that the fiesta and Fit are the only viable players in the group....other than the Hyundai Velostar, which is a decent little car and priced well.
  14. SX4 is essentially third world market automobile...a useful upgrade from a 125cc ten year old motorbike, but just barely. Not sure they can sell it in rural China as the jury is still out on whether or not it is an upgrade over a water buffalo in terms of transportation. Versa and Rio are pretty much rolling trashcans....Yaris is not much better. Calling these cars hot hatches is sort of like putting a less attractive, hevier version of rosanne bar in Playboy...ugh.....
  15. Sweet...did you notice the blue 68 GTO getting passed by the Charger in the original Bullet clip? Charger from the orig. bullet movie was B-5 blue, BTW, and painted black for the movie.... ...and besides...people from Jersey can't drive...and what makes anyone think that a puny little 421 Tri power could ever keep up with the original 390 Mustang from bullet? (ducks wrench thrown from Balthazar...) Seriously, wicked cool Bonneville....
  16. All the more reason to get the 97-2006 model and modify it for a little trail work...
  17. It's wicked cool because it's different... It's also just...unique to say the least. I am kind of with Blu on the Corvair thing...I've been tempted to buy one several times.
  18. Wicked cool, and it would tow a race car. Although I myself would probably look for a newer motor home if I was going to buy one.
  19. ...and I see almost no Kishashi's on the road around here. Got to thinking about this today... In the last three months, I've seen three Kishashi's in the wild. In the last three weeks, I've seen 6 Studebakers...a white 62 Hawk, a red 64 Hawk, two Avanti's, a 53 Starliner, and a 56ish pic em up truck... So around here, a Kisashi is twice as a rare (or more) of a sighting as a Studebaker. That should say something right there, IMHO>
  20. Fixed that for ya...it's a third world level vehicle at best, IMHO.
  21. If I was in Philly I would lend you a hand... Good luck!
  22. I like this!
  23. You need a used jeep of the 1997-2006 vintage...the one with the good inline six. You already have a nice new Chevy as a daily...you need something older you can beat on and get dirty... It is one heck of a vehicle, and Ohio built as well! I like the Dozer, but the natural green is better IMHO!
  24. That sucks...truck took out a light pole on thanksgiving a few years aback around here...we had a cold, hungry thanksgiving until the power came back on that evening...
