  1. Agreed...like the PT Crusier, once the cool and Retro wears off, no one will want them.
  2. I can agree with you that we need a more lean, well focused fed gov't.....
  3. Ford is still on my crap list... Another consumer type auto rag I read said that the Prius has an enormous number of problems with owners...why does Consumers Reports not write about this crap?
  4. Would also be a good vehicle to pay off and get out from under a car payment... permanently. A car/truck like that could last you ten or fifteen years...you could pay off the house...get clear of debt...and enjoy life. Admit it...your a truck guy...you always will be...
  5. BMW groop is going downhill fast IMHO...not just MINI. Audi is becoming MUCH more my fav. upscale European b rand, and I am starting to like vW much more than MINI. Not that I dislike MINI....but they are getting stuuupid....
  6. I hate to do this but Olds...don't we have a policy against slandering Domestic automakers here at C and G? Isn't the above post a slam on Chrysler? Just curious....
  7. I could see a Beetle much more than MINI, it has a MUCH higher quality feel, styling is much better, and the whole car just feels much more like someone cared when they designed it and screwed it together.
  8. Someone in the car buying public is stoned...that much is sure.
  9. Coupe is better looking in person...and they have orders for them, according to a friend of mine who works for MINI. Still...chasing too many niches, methinks.
  10. Spring might be a better time to sell her...a little late in the season now...
  11. After a long painful day, this is just what I needed to see...thanks!
  12. Good work Bob!
  13. Great news...I hope she finds a good new home.
  14. Drew, thank you so much, I am glad I upgraded to premium membership... LOVE the way the site is going, sir.
  15. Sixty Seven, I think that he needs to know it's okay to cuss it once in awhile....but yeah...no negativity.
  16. Yeah, I was looking forward to getting in one last race this year!
  17. Agreed. MI kills cars here. If I get a Cruze, that's exactly what the Cobalt will be for, if I keep it. Back on subject, I'd say you should be good for the winter.... Agreed...in Camino's own words, Ohio is a rolling junkyard...pretty much literally.
  18. Time indeed for the wagon to get some luvin. Time indeed for the wagon to get some luvin.
  19. Surely your being sarcastic, right? I mean...I think we should have the freedom to drive and ride what we like.
  20. Cool...so neat to see the photos of the nice resto.
  21. Well, the pundits here claim turbos haven't had lag in decades. I can see what you're trying to do, though... I'm used to cars that produce power low down, and its all instant on. While driving turbos is not my thing, I wonder if a slight speed shift (don't let the engine fall to idle (or whatever speed lag is an issue) between shifts) would take the lag out of the equation. I shift pretty fast, and with all the spinning inertia, I don't lose too much engine speed. They have lag...and you and I have different preferences. I like cars that rev high, and build power higher in the RPM band. One reason I like Modular motor Mustangs better...and also small cars.
  22. I actually like the cold when I do wood working in the garage...usually a couple of 500 watt lamps will bring the temp from the twenties to the forties...and it's cold enough my wife and children leave me alone.
