  1. I'm with DF on this..very sad to see the GTO in the first part of the clip just rotting away....
  2. Happy Birthday!
  3. This looks fantastic...we are eating late, just getting ready to sit down to thanksgiving dinner... And happy thanksgiving to you all... Those are the best kind of Coma...my sons scout troop fixed a thanksgiving meal Saturday night that was fantastic...smoked three large turkeys... Good sleep after good food...hmmm...
  4. Maybe we can go back to the good old days and use weed to create a different kind of dead zone....J/K...
  5. That's totally cool..usually cars without vins are destroyed by the MFGR...glad these survived....!
  6. Use it as weed killer. Railroads used to dump straight diesel fuel on railroad roadbeds before the EPA...killed grass/weeds real good...
  7. He can come to Ohio and explain to people how much better off they are now that their homes are foreclosed, and that they have cheap goods at Wal-Mart. Maybe our new Republican governor will install 120 volt receptacles under the highway overpasses so families can watch OSU football while they shiver? Lots of good deals on cheap TV's and VCR's at Wally world...
  8. Aghhhhh....I hate that..... Around here, brush fires are very common. Know anyone who lives in a rural area maybe?
  9. ...and this is the most utter horse$h! assertion ever...
  10. Some towns have ordinances where they have a " local hazardous material " turn in... What I usually do is burn it off over a camp fire, about a quart at a time...start out with like a pint and a half, throw it into the fire...should flash but not get excessive...obviously use an open container and stand back... Dangerous as hell...but has always worked for me... And yes should anyone want to flame me (pun not intended) I know it''s not real safe...but it works...
  11. So do I...
  12. Actually, sounds a little too kinky to me. Be glad your small enough to fit into an oven...I am a big guy. They'd have to baste me with a push broom, and shove me into a car wash stall...and then set they dryers to "stun..." Happy thanksgiving, Mr blu.
  13. Around here....we see Hispanics working at seven O'Clock on a Saturday night as construction workers, working odd shifts in rester-aunt kitchens, doing house cleaning, doing masonry, doing all kinds of other work.... Lots of them are...it's called under employment. Guys in the VW TDI club I am part of are largely workers in the IT field. A very talented friend of mine was unemployed for well over a year... His job went to India....
  14. Tell us if you get her fired...
  15. Maybe it wasn't 64...but I actually remember reading about it in Hot Rod back in the later 1970's....
  16. I can really, really agree on taking care of our own. Seriously... There is a lot of foreign aid that needs to stop. But I',m still not seeing most immigrants as being that much of a problem once they are here. And I am also not so sure that Mexico is going to clean up it's own drug war mess....I'm wondering if we've just brought the troops home from Iraq to send them south of the border...and that's if this crap with Korea doesn't heat up....
  17. Why? Do you really want to send working families back to Mexico or elsewhere to live in gang violence and poverty?
  18. And a quick Google hit for Cadillac aluminium bodied race car turned up this little gem...not regular production, off topic, but still cool! http://californiaclassix.com/archive/70_Tice_c155.html
  19. As the old saying goes Cadillac actually built a set of Aluminium race cars right about 1964 or so...full aluminium bodies, looked like a production car IIRC. LONG time since I've read anything about them...
  20. Sorry to both Nick and Balthazar...who i greatly respect...but I'm with CSPEC on this one!
  21. Congrats...take care of it...Honda is never going to build the likes of it again....
  22. I agree with you here... I would let a lot MORE people into this country, actually....
  23. Amen brother! If you do, drop in for a cup of coffee or lunch....
  24. We have an older lady in our Miata club who has three GM trucks, two Miata's and a 34 Ford Street rod.... The 34 Ford is Coupie....and I forget the rest of the names she's given her cars. but she claims each car also has a gender, and she has to drive them to know if they are a he or a she..... Interesting, IMHO...
  25. Analyst: TSA methods 'will kill more Americans on highway' By Jordy Yager 11/21/10 09:09 AM ET The recent public ire toward the TSA’s new pat-down and body imaging screening methods is likely to cause more people to drive automobiles and forego airline travel, say two transportation economists who have studied the issue. As the nation readies for one of the busiest traveling holidays, Steven Horwitz, a professor of economics at St. Lawrence University, told The Hill that the probable spike in road travel, caused by adverse feelings towards the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) new screening procedures, could also lead to more car-related deaths. “Driving is much more dangerous than flying, as you are far more likely to be killed in an automobile accident mile-for-mile than you are in an airplane,” said Horwitz. “The result will be that the new TSA procedures will kill more Americans on the highway.” Clifford Winston, a senior fellow of economic studies at the Brookings Institute, stopped short of saying that more people could die as a result of the TSA policies, but said that the airline industry will definitely see a decline in passengers if the public’s contempt for the pat-downs and advanced-imaging technology systems continues.
