  1. Inexpensive work truck (nicer version of the truck you sent to CFC valhalla) and a nice Poncho wagon maybe?
  2. More truth here than I want to admit...
  3. I'm saying this as a general rule... Some teens obviously like them, but by and large, most teens...the Camaro, challenger, and Mustang are pretty much off their radar.
  4. Amazing how different vehicles get under your skin like that...
  5. Neat looking old truck!
  6. Yes, it's Sunday ayem and I'm ungodly bored, but this is amazingly funny IMHO....
  7. The Impollas they love were built back during the Era of kennedy and Johnson...But good point. We still need domestic cars that will reach this marketing demographic
  8. Siphon 5 grand from totaling a Camry already and cut the poor guy in Philly a check already...
  9. Priceless in this video...74 Hurst Olds pops a chute after an eight second quarter...a car that large down the track that fast...yeah!
  10. Now proceeding under Gm power, boys! NOW THAT"S GM HORSEPOWER!
  11. And a ragtop version...
  12. ...and hell yes...13.24 on bias ply tires! As the narrator says...one notch away from the twilight zone...and the slow motion shot of the 70 mile per hour stop is price less. Watching them steer it through the corners with the throttle ain't bad either.
  13. Neat interview with this one...and listen to that Big block olds with the cam stumble. NASTY!
  14. It has a nice "higher end" feeling to it, and I have heard great things about the driving dynamics. However, I love the Fusion in its class, and for me personally./...I still like the Fusion better.
  15. I love Columbus, but if I had to do it again, Pitsburgh would be my choice!
  16. That wagon was awesome, and reminded me of how much I miss seeing 1960's GM cars on the road every day! But methinks a Transit Connect would be the order of the day at some point.
  17. I do also like the Le mans for its own sake, an uncle of mine had one when I was a kid, and then traded it in on a 72 Firebird, which was also a great car. LOVE the ragtop!
  18. About a week ago I was sitting at a bar, reading a copy of the Columbus dispatch and watching the Ohio State football game. The Columbus Dispatch does a write up on a local high school athlete on Saturday, and their write up was about a girl from Marysville who played Golf, IIRC she won a state championship. She was also very passionate about older rock and roll music and cars. Her car of choice? Mommy and daddy had her set up in a nice black 4 door Civic SI. The good, bad and ugly of the situation is that we've pretty much lost a lot of the younger generation to American small cars. You think it's some kind of accident that Black Viper owns a Honda and a Vee Dub? As the parent of three teenagers I can tell you, the cars kids are into are NOT domestics. As nice as GM4life's write up about the Taurus was in another thread...this ain't the kind of car that will win over younger fans. Camaro, Mustang and Challenger are fine for us as forty something males...but....we are loosing the battle. The other group we are loosing the battle with is the hispanic population. they love domestic trucks, but seem to really prefer import cars. THIS needs to change!
  19. He's already an "old man" but then so am I. It's an impressive car, and an excellent write up!
  20. If you can play guitar anything like my son, I need to take a road trip to hear you play! Yes, especially when the newer cars are not as fun to drive... A modern Civic weighs almost as much as a 1970 GM midsize car....
  21. Agree on bloated whale.... UmmmI love jags but...not that one! Ace Iron and Scrap is paying $210 a ton right now...I'd be rolling that puppy across the scales and collecting some cash....
  22. I do too, you know how I love sixties Pontiacs and you know how I loveragtops
