  1. carbiz always said that the Miata was a gay car....Columbus has a large gay and lesbian population...maybe there is a reason I see so many on the road?
  2. I'd love to own a GTI, but....not sure that I trust VW. one of the autocross guys I race with, bought a VW Jetta GLI brand new....drove it over 800,000 (Yeah, 800,000!) miles without any major problems, and then sold it...almost bought it back again.... That was one going vee dub....Motor and tranny were NOT rebuilt in that 800,000...
  3. Juke seems to be very popular around here...
  4. The Juke is selling really hot right now...local dealers say they've got an eight week waiting list....
  5. 1988 BMW Dealership Time capsule For some twisted reason we're all attracted to the mysterious allure of an abandoned building. In Oakville, Ontario there stands a building that for a petrol head trumps even the eeriest of places. At only a stones throw away from our dealership in Ajax, Ontario we're surprised we haven't heard about this place before. The story goes as follows. In 1988 the dealer, located on Royal Windsor Drive and operating under the name "Citation Motors", had his concession license revoked due to unknown reasons. They then moved to Toronto under the name "Downtown BMW" which in 2002 closed up shop. The owner, apparently a well-off German business man, seemed to have no interest in selling the place, or even the inventory, as everything seems to have been left behind intact. One hundred percent frozen in time is the only description that seems fitting when describing this ultimately interesting place. Read more: http://www.endrasbmw...left-untouched/
  6. Laughed my ass off with this one, sarcasm is always a great way to start the day.
  7. My father had an 88 of this era when I was in High school, many fond memories of riding around with a young female in the passenger seat.... FANTASTIC cars, olds...seing these made my day. Sadly, we have devolved quite a bit in car styling since these beauties were built.
  8. http://www.engadget.com/2011/07/14/man-builds-turbine-powered-batmobile-brags-about-having-the-onl/ Powered by... Boeing!
  9. This is true...ugh.... You could use it to move well rotted cow manure for your landscape business Camino. Just remember to weigh the Prius so you know how much cow$h! you can take out to fertilize plants. Might be actually hard to figure out where the cow$h! ends and the Prius begins...
  10. the color is fantastic, and I really like the looks of this thing... I'll second that...
  11. Bingo! Good luck with it, dude!
  12. http://www.roadraceautox.com/showthread.php?t=36143 That being said, he is one of the guys I race with here in Columbus...fantastic ;person...and he's selling it in the hopes of getting a Z06....
  13. Hope things get better out east fast!
  14. Seen a few of these bodystyle cars made into sweet little Showroom stock and improved touring SCCA race cars back in the day.,..too bad those cars have mostly been long retired.
  15. Too bad finances are an issue, as a CTS wagon would be just the ticket...
  16. I don't care what croc says about you either...and I think of you once in awhile when I pass the nice sweetly detailed blue SI that lives down the street from me... Happy birthday, dude!
  17. Congrats...will be shopping for a car for the wife, curious to your reactions to this new ride...
  18. I never thought I'd see you consider an Asian car...but to me either this or the Juke would be Ideal. I know you don't like the styling on the Juke, but it is about as close to what you want as your going to get in some ways... But given Pittsburgh, and show, and AWD, and fuel economy...The Suzuki is worth thinking about.
  19. I still like the idea of another Fiesta...more nimble than the Cruze, although the cruze is a great car. Older S10 4 by 4 would be great if you were Camino or Sixty eight and had a desire to put up with wrenching once in awhile....or having it fixed...but methinks your more of a no hassle kind of a car guy.
  20. Once again the voice of reason.
  21. @ Hyper...Yeah...I keep thinking a Grand National would be cool to own...and then I remember a few of the things you just mentioned. Chris
  22. I almost bought a 70 like that, competition orange, when I ended up with the 55 chevy. It came down to a 69 Mach 1, a 70 mach 1 (autottrajic 351 4V, called the "Cleveland Cobra jet"). Also almost bought a nice 68 GTO, one owner California car...that was in 2000, when those cars were stilla round for decent money. can't touch much for decent money these days, even with the economy.
