  1. +1 Bigtime. Put Warren Buffet in Botswanna and he would still be poor. The Rich are Rich in this nation largely because we have a stable, educated working/middle class. Hell, if I was rich the last thing I would want is for the general population to be poor. In the middle ages kidnapping of the wwealthy for ransom was common, and it still is common in Central America. It is in the intrest of the wealthy to ahve a stable working and middle class. Just more evidence that McCain, Bush,m Reagan, Rush, Ann Coulter, and the Neocons are dead wrong. Chris
  2. ...and you need what sort of evidence to show that Americans are fundamentally stupid? We elected Reagan and Bush... what more evidence do you need, son? Chris
  3. Nearly every CTS owner I talk with just raves about the car. I can't think of a single owner group that is happier with their cars, given the people I've talked to informally. Glad yourCTS is working out well. Maybe if I get wealthy or my wife and I get the kids grown and out of the house, I'll fly to Vegas and buy one off of you. Chris
  4. Every so often everyone builds a bad car. I once talked to a GM engeneer who worked in the crash test department. He said that they usually took apart and examined cars that Gm bought back as lemons. Apparently, poor dealer service and poor dealer toubleshooting of simple items is usually the culprit. From what he said, GM buys back about 400 cars a month, many of which are then used for crash testing or other "destructive" testing. So there may be a concrete barrier in the future of that particular CTS. Which is sad for me to think of any car dieing, esp. a CTS. Chris
  5. I am a very hairy heterosexual and I love VW's... I want a TDI Diesel in the fleet like yesterday. Most of the guys in the local VW club are not Metrosexual. And most of the VW's I know of rarely break down. Chris
  6. ...or that old Johnny Cash song...the one where the lyrics go something like "I got a 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, automobile". Chris
  7. No, your right, its not. No matter who gets elected I think the economy is going to get much worse before itgets better. You'd better get a cape and a phone booth, dave, as I think you'll have to play "super rescue hero" to more people in parking lots. Things are going to get MUCH worse. Chris
  8. Maybe we could export these to the French! You know the old French battle charge...RETREAT! Couldn't think of anything better for failure or moving backwards than a Toyota powered tank. Chris
  9. I would agree. The platform will need to be updated. Chris
  10. Really? Why, an all seriousness. Chris
  11. Sometimes the Onion is just too damned honest. Chris
  12. This makes so much sense it's not even funny. Chris
  13. This makes so much sense it's not even funny. Chris
  14. I would really agree. I remember the Pontiacs of the 1960's, 1970's, and 1980's as new cars. A full Pontiac lineup would be great. Chris
  15. I am more of an Obama fan myself. Actually met Hillary when she came to speak at Columbus State Community College. I was the only male out of about 350-400 people that was not escourted by a female. Personally I don't think she would have had the appeal in a genral election that Obama has had. (enter stupid sarcasm mode) Someone needs to kick Sarah's ass. Perhaps we could have a Hillary vs Sarah mud wrestling competition? (exit stupid sarcasm mode) Chris
  16. QUOTE (ocnblu @ Oct 27 2008, 06:36 PM) 66, what are you talking about? The VW Rabbit has been the #1 researched new car over at www.Gaywheels.com for about a year now. I've owned a '92 Golf GL 2 door, two '98 Bugs, and an '00 GTI 1.8t. If my local dealership had a half-decent reputation for their service department, I would have seriously looked at a white '09 Rabbit 2 door this time. Serious? I was half joking, but I know quite a few gey people and none drive VW's. Chris
  17. QUOTE (Sixty8panther @ Oct 27 2008, 09:37 PM) The Toyota drank way too much wine while pregnant and the baby came out with downs syndrome, you might have seen it actually, they named it Honda Ridgeline. (dear lord I really am going to hell for that joke ) ---- That's not fair to children with downs syndrome, the Ridgeline is uglier than that. I have the brother of a former co worker that works in a local Honda dealership, apparently the "new Ridgeline" isn't selling at all. Go figure. Chris
  18. Thanks for posting the pic, 'balt. Chris
  19. It really could happen. the rightwing nutjobs are not going to go away if and when Obama gets elected. If Obama is elected and things go poorly for him, Palin could run again in 2012 and get the white house. I'd FAR rather have Hillary than Sarah, but that just ain't gonna happen. Chris
  20. Real estate on a bus line is looking better and better...between this and the new Maxima...two of the ugliest cars ever penned by the japanese, or any other nation for that matter. Chris
  21. I do also! I am not getting "warm fuzzies" thinking about this at all... Chris
  22. Sweet! Loved the fabrication work. Makes me miss my 55 chev, though. Chris
  23. I'd prefer the Suburban, myself. Going back to our other thread...I'd really love one with a diesel. And that sweet Allison tranny. That would be the "A" ticket, methinks. Chris
