Saw another SRT-8 Magnum on the way to work today, this time in metallic red. They are nice cars. Chris

Toyota caught out cheating with their new Lexus IS-F racer
They are winning the Rhetoric race quite well, thank you! Oh, wait, you wanted something that actually involved automobiles. Guess your S.O.L. Chris

Toyota caught out cheating with their new Lexus IS-F racer
Actually I have much more respect for Honda, Mercedes, BMW, et. al when it comes to foreign carmakers in racing. ...as well as Mazda, who manages to put thousands of race cars on track (formula Mazda, Spec Miata, MX-5 Cup, RX-7,and others) each weekend. Go to an SCCA race some time. The no show of Toyota products will delight and amaze you...oh wait, maybe that's NASCAR also... Chris

'08 Charger Rental
Actually I think the Charger is a Hot, Hot automobile-there are six vehicles at lest that Chrysler has gotten dead right-Challenger, Charger, 300, Wrangler, Ram, and Viper.

And it turns out that the Japanese isn't doing that great this year, it seems...
Depenmds on the Japanese car. Like someone said the high end stuff is in the tank but the Mazda 3, the Civic, The Fit, et al seem to be selling briskly. Chris

Actually I don't watch much television, but every time that I go over to see my father we usually sit down to watch Football or Basketball. At least on North Carolina TV, the G6 is advertised about every third TV spot. Chris

Chrysler working on emergency overhaul of Avenger & Sebring interiors
Actually, I hate to eat crow to Ravenfreak and Dodgefan but... Next door neighbors brother just bought a brand new white Avenger. Thjey had it out in the driveway this A.M. There does seem to be a real effort to improve assembly line build quality in these cars. I was rather impressed...does anyone have any actual information that is not heresay about any actual in-plant changes that Chryselr seems to be making? There may be hope for Chrysler yet if they keep this up. Chris

Interesting Cadillac discussion on Miatanet
Sorry I can't get the link to work but it is under "car talk" at Miatanet. 40 people in a poll say that they would now consider buying cadillac again with the new product lineup, Vs. 19 that say that they will never buy domestic again. Things seem to be working well for GM for a change! Chris

(GASP) Mopar guy likely to be getting a Malibu Maxx
If you can drive at all amazing things can be done with an RWD car and decent tires. Chris

(GASP) Mopar guy likely to be getting a Malibu Maxx
Magnum would have been another nice choice. They had an SRT-8 version at a local car lot and I had to remind myself several times that college is coming up for my son.... Too bad the LH cars like my old Concorde or your Intrepid are becoming a little older/harder to find. That would have been a great choice also. BTW, congrats on the MAXX. Maybe by the time the Neon needs replaced Chrylser will have re-introduced it and you can own both a mopar and a GM. Chris

(GASP) Mopar guy likely to be getting a Malibu Maxx
Agreed, bulletproof. Plus as a guy who likes quirky offbeat cars I can definitely say the MAXX has a lot of very uniqe style. Were it not for the lack of an MT I would own one myself. Chris

General Motors: Dec. 2007 and Full Year Sales
Thankfully GM isn't trying to be everything to every one. For one, I am glad that Buick isn't trying to build cars like the early 80's Centuries just to have an "economy" midsized car to sell. GM is learning, there is hope. Plus the 3 models buick does have are all top notch... Chris

Challenger Unmasked
Although regulations have given us modern engene management systems that have given us cars like the C-6 Z06. We live in an era when we have the best of both worlds, might as well enjoy it for as long as we can. Sadly, in 15 years CAFE will have killed even 4 cyl. performance cars like the Sky, Solstice, Miata, Civic SI, GTI etc. The Muscle car era cars will all be in museums, and no onw will remember other cool cars like the faux wood paneled station wagons of the 60's-70's. Or the two toned and thee toned chromed wonders of the fifties. Makes me sad... Chris

Challenger Unmasked
Actually I like the new Mustang (go figure) but yeah the new Camaro is the "A" ticket. But then that should come as no suprise. The camaro owned the Mustang and the Challenger in 1971, it might as well own both in 2008. Now if it were a 70 Mach 1 or a 70 Boss 302 it might be a different story... Chris

Chrysler working on emergency overhaul of Avenger & Sebring interiors
Which is why I really hope that there can be an improvement/change in the product lineup. I get discouraged easily, but am hopeful that there are good things coming from Chrysler. Chris

Chrysler working on emergency overhaul of Avenger & Sebring interiors
One of the things that makes me really sad is that there is a wonderful family owned Chrysler store near me that I would love to do buisiness with...if the product lineup were different. Chris

Ditto on the LX cars thing here. Were Chrysler still building cars like the first/second gen Neon, the LX series, etc. I'd be looking at one. Chris

Change of plans for Dodge Demon

Chrysler working on emergency overhaul of Avenger & Sebring interiors
Exactly why I'm not buying another Toyota product-not so much that they are an asian company as the current product lineup is really bland. And your right, no one with any sense whatsoever should be buying these things. Chris

Had to use a company car this morning
The Tundra is not the total POS that some people make it out to be, but the point is that GM and Ford still build better trucks than Toyota and Nissan. Chris
