  1. My next car 4 grand more for what I want in a small car is not a problem. However, let's give the Cobalt some credit. It is a very, very good small car. For where it is priced it is amazingly close in some ways to Civic/Mazda 3. Chris
  2. Go to an SCCA race or autocross sometime. The old Neon was a GREAT handeling car with the right tweaks. Watch them go through turn 7-8 at speed at Mid Ohio or around Oak Tree bend at Nelson Ledges. Great cars. Probably one of the best driving/handeling cars of the 90's if it is on decent tires with decent shocks/struts. Chris
  3. The element is an older design. It is heavy for a 4 cyl. vehicle. My wife loves it but I wouldn't buy it for various reasons. The Ridgeline just plain looks like ass... Chris
  4. This thing is too ugly to even destroy...wow that's bad. Chris
  5. Actually I like both the Element and the Aztec thank you very much sir. Actually the Aztec is not that far from the Equinox in some ways. Chris
  6. To the right kind of female, being green is really hot. To me hybrids are cool, I just wonder about the real world practical nature of them. My friends Bert and Cathy LOVE their Prius, however. They went from spending $60-100 with their Olds Bravada per week to spending $13 with the Prius. That was when Gas was $1.89 a gallon too! Chris
  7. On the one hand, this is supposed to be an A-political portion of the forum. On the other hand I've never felt worse about our national leadership in my entire life and I'm 41 years old. Chris
  8. Wow, wonder how my Inlaws will view this article...they are very conservative and swear by Consumer Reports... Chris
  9. Good to see Jr. back in the top ten. I'd like to see Jaun Montoya in a Chevy, he is a great driver and would do a great job representing the General... Chris
  10. So you are very happy with the Hybrid then? I have not heard glowing reports of the Honda Hybrid. Chris
  11. Probably everything toytoa makes will have a hybrid model within the next 5 years or so. They are already building a bunch of Lexus Hybrids. Chris
  12. Not to mention the extra mechanical systems to service. Even if it was only six bucks extra for the hybrid I'd still take the regular Civic. Chris
  13. As a current xB owner I'm not sure I like the new xB either... And 17k will take away from sales for sure. Chris
  14. 1=first 2=second #1 is really sweet... Chris
  15. If you ever decide to garage or limit the use of the B-59 get collector insurance. It cost me $225 a year for 10k on my 55 Chev, because it was modified. Were it to be unmodified I could have had it for about a hundred a year. Chris
  16. 1968 Torino G.T. Really clean Mercury full size ragtop, red on red with a black top. A whole slew of SSR's. Chris
  17. I'll gladly buy you one of each next time I am north of the border! Chris
  18. Actually didn't think I'd be saying this but for 14 grand that's a lot of damned car for the money. I was thinking they were more of a 20-25k car. Chris
  19. Actually I am still in LUST over the Cobalt SS. Chris
  20. ..and let's not kid ourselves, people still buy cars based upon price, Carbiz is right. Both the Civic and Impala are (in their own way) worlds ahead of your Dodge or my Scion. That being said I really miss the Concorde I traded in on the Scion. Chris
  21. Carbiz-The Impala is still a very impressive car. One of the guys at work has one and I love that thing. In a regular comparo with a "normal" customer, you probably could sell the Impala over the Civic with ease. However...the SI does have its advantadges. Chris
  22. Older Benz=sweet Newer Benz=Needs to donate itself to a beer can factory. Chris
  23. Or crawl... Chris
