1. Yeah, happy Canada Day everybody!
2. Cory, my deepest sympathies go out to you and your family. May she rest in peace.
3. The Impala could use better ads, it's not by any means a bad car and has some ingenious features.
4. God, how about that engine!? I absolutely love the 3500 VVT, it's gotta be one of the best engines they've put out recently. The last tank of Gas in the Impala averaged 25MPG (almost all city), and it delivered 35MPG Highway through the mountain passes of the Rockies and Cascades this spring. I fully expect that when it stretches its legs on a run out to the coast this summer it will again return this kind of mileage.
5. Glad some people like it... I guess I'm somewhat vindicated. Seventy-Five Grand is what it goes for.
6. For the love of god, I hope the rumors of them coming to Canada are true! Just hurry up and get your asses over here guys. I want a Citroen C6 http://youtube.com/watch?v=-tdEKmnWUy4
7. Nope, not alone at all.
8. Then you might be interested to know I submitted a license plate design proposal to the Selection Committee. Here's What I Designed and Submitted:
9. Certainly not on Impala vs. Avalon... our last tank just returned 26MPG in city driving conditions.
10. Only in Canada.... There's an upgrade package called the LS Sport Package that gives you XM, Alloys, Flip 'n Fold Rear Seat, Leather Wheel w. Audio Controls, CD/MP3 Stereo, and Rear Spoiler. In Canada we only have the LT2 equivalent model, not the LT1 so that package essentially makes it into an LT1-like equipped vehicle.
11. It's a perfect picture, spoiled only by the fact that there's an Avalon on the carrier along with the Corvair, Trans Am, 1965 Impala, C3 Corvette, and Old Cadillac.
12. My money's on the real story being that Pontiac has...lost its identity. What isn't a blatantly rebadged Chevy is a blatantly rebadged Holden (which is badge engineering just the same) Also, as an addendum to my survey response, It's worth adding that my dad and I are going, in a few years mind you, buy a 1994-1995 Pontiac Trans Sport 3.8L and fix it up. Never Again wouldn't be exactly 100% true.
13. The Blue is like the ZR1 in your sig... but I've begun to associate that color with headaches if you know what I mean.... just seeing it gives me high blood pressure I'm sure.
14. We're getting new license plates (new design) in Q1 2009 but no front plates... Even so I'd just as soon keep it on because I'm keeping this car well, indefinitely (read forever if it's not totaled eek!). The Law enforcement agencies are lobbying for front plates to be introduced at some later date, so I'd feel awful stupid if I had them removed only to have to put the bracket back on again (!) I think I'll order an Impala plate from Ebay like this one (http://cgi.ebay.ca/Chevrolet-IMPALA-Logo-N...1QQcmdZViewItem) and call it a day, besides I don't want to leave the little plugs for holes in the bumper. This way it's just nice and proper.
15. They only need to do it once, and right. It involves making Saab Europe-Only, Following PCS' Idea for Pontiac if they don't kill it, killing GMC, killing Saturn, and Selling Hummer. Lumping Buick with Cadillac. GMNA= Chev-Buick-Cadillac with perhaps an HSV like Pontiac.
16. I don't think so... China. Even if this was to happen, I wouldn't take it sitting down.
17. 1. 0 2. We Test-Drove and Liked the Acadia. We WOULD have leased one instead of buying the Impala if it had decent fuel economy. If they can squeeze another 2-3 MPG City out of it by 2010 then we might yet buy one.
18. God that was a lot of work considering the heat (!)
19. Where are you seeing all these cars Harley? Damn I must live in the wrong quadrant of the city (NW).
20. QUOTE(XP715 @ Jun 29 2008, 09:18 AM) WMJ is the one I was wondering about the most; anybody know anything about him? Yeah, I hope he's okay.
21. That White T-Bird is pure sex.
22. 1. 0 2. I love Saab's quirkyness- I'd consider the new 9-1, 9-3, AND 9-5 if I could pay less than sticker, as Saabs are lumped in with Saturn up here.
23. 1. 0 2. I'd love an Astra if I didn't have to pay MSRP... If it's just as easy to go to my salesman buddy and get 3-5K$ off sticker on a Chev/Pontiac/Buick/GMC/Cadillac then why bother?
24. 1. 0 2. Never, ever, Never
