  1. Yup. GMC should be ripe to go. Saab I'd say is safe for now because they do a lot of R&D for GM and GME in particular. Saturn... Seems they want to tinker with it some more but in my Opinion it should go because it won't work. I think they should shutter Saturn and just bring in Opel (and call it Opel for that matter). Pontiac... I'm sorry to say might be on its way out considering the lack of announced product in the pipeline. Buick... Safe because of China and all the new product coming. Cadillac... Safe. Chevy... Safe.
  2. 1. The next generation model, maybe. But they're making an Alpha-Based smaller RWD Buick possible called Regal so I'm not sure what bearing that may have on bringing this model here. 2. By all present indications, yes. Since it won't be produced at Oshawa, it can't be called LaCrosse. Why would they make up a completely different name from the showcar when that name is already appropriate? They're not Ford or something. 3. A Theta-Epsilon based SUV ala BRX and 9-4X is entirely possible but unless GM does something with Saab, I don't expect them to flood a third lux SUV onto the market... But then again knowing GM's flooding of the market with Lambdas, it may be true. 4. No.
  3. Sorry to hear about that Fly, but It's good to hear that things are finally on the up and up.
  4. Eh, It looks awful generic... also FYI you might not want to post the copyrighted Brenda Priddy Image...
  5. Fixed that for you :AH-HA_wink:
  6. Yup, in this situation that's what I'd do... We got 35 on the Highway this spring and consistently get about 22-23 in town. Our Canadian-Spec LS with the Sport Package (Which makes it essentially an American LT1 Model with a few extra options) had 6500 Miles on it when we bought it and it was $18'500 (Expect to pay like 2-3 Grand less in the states), came with Alloys, Spoiler, Leather Wheel with Audio Controls, XM, OnStar, Split Folding Backseat, FlexFuel Engine. I can't think of a better bargain.
  7. I know. NOTHING can go wrong with this engine considering they're putting them in so many cars and considering how important it is to the turnaround plan. I had a bad feeling that this might happen, let's hope they're just isolated incidents.
  8. The Saudis have a minimal effect at best... 2/3 of the Oil America Consumes comes from within North America, the lions share of it from Canada. The rest is divvied up between Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, other Gulf Countries. I definitely agree with this statement. My gut tells me this will happen sometime after Christmas... Now if Gas Prices follow suit... That's another matter.
  9. Well, If we're talking luxury, then Audi and Jaguar for me. I especially love the A6 and the XJ. Take away Buick and Cadillac and those two are at the top of my list. Very Stately Very Conservative
  10. Ford. More Specifically- Taurus Fusion Focus Taurus X MKX MKS Sable Flex
  11. Am I the only one that thinks this thing looks unforgivingly like a Hyundai?
  12. BLEH. I'll stick with my Impala and G5. Yuck, Just Yuck. The new Impala better look better than this, but Since GME is doing it and not GM-DAT I'm sure looks won't be an issue.
  13. Nope, he grew up on a farm northeast of Edmonton and worked as a steward on the Canadian Pacific Railway first class dining car during the war... Having two young boys in the early 50s he didn't go to Korea. He worked up in Edmonton 'till 1962 for various things when my grandparents moved with my dad and uncles to Brooklyn... He worked as a plasterer for Donald Trump Sr and after that he worked for American Linen driving the delivery trucks... They returned to Canada in 1973 and he worked as a driver and eventually a supervisor/manager for Canadian Linen until he retired in 1990. He had a bypass about fifteen years ago, but he walks three miles a day, so otherwise he's tip top. They just have him on O2, not even an IV right now... So the doctors seem somewhat confident that nothing has progressed too far.
  14. James Garner in town?
  15. Well... Today's my brother's birthday, he turned 14. I still remember that morning like it was yesterday- I spent the night at my grandparents place and we rushed over to the Rockyview Hospital in their then new Emerald Green 1994 Neon Sport Sedan (with the automatic) so I could see my new baby brother... We were trying to meet my dad but when he was going down an elevator we were going up and vice versa- my grandfather was 65 then. Today, in that very hospital, two floors above the maternity ward, my grandfather lies suffering from congestive heart failure and a collapsed lung at age 80 (He's fine for now)... We're not sure what's the cause but they think it's a leaky valve... and We're not sure if it's operable. Makes you think doesn't it?
  16. 1963 Imperial LeBaron in Black. Daily Driver.
  17. I know someone in the mountains northeast of LA who has a 2005 Tacoma like the one mentioned, he's had this happen to him as well and it scared the living crap out of him.
  18. Wow. Just Wow. Impressive
  19. QFT Hope Kim makes a full recovery!
  20. Esprit version is the best.
  21. Yup, and the prom was three weeks ago- welcome to Canada
  22. Well... I finally finished High School today () but the grad ceremonies are a day long and aren't for two weeks ()
  23. Invicta's coming out soon... That's the main one for me. I'm also really excited to see what they cook up to Replace the DTS, NG Astra, and what they cook up for an Alpha Buick.
  24. Yeah, I'd look at the Aura if I was you... But then again if it was my situation I'd buy a cheap GM Certified Impala or LaCrosse
