  1. Get a Silver Aston [/nuff said] In all seriousness, if I was going to buy an expensive sports car, The DB9 was it... Now that's my kind of car.
  2. Yeah, I've had that happen to me... I Drove the Impala to school on the other day because my car was in for a tire rotation, and I got razzed on by a couple of people I know, including some members of the "Youth For Justice" Committee, because they saw my car as a giant, gas eating, earth killing dinosaur (To be fair- along with an Oldsmobile 88, Buick LeSabre, and a 1980s Jag, it was among the biggest cars in the lot). One of my friends is a greenie and has a 2004 Camry XLE V6- he told me I was lying when I said it got 22MPG City.
  3. Cap- Three sets of Three Letters: STS, DTS, CTS...
  4. I'm not talking <50$ Here... but I think we'll see a gradual slowing of the rise in oil prices this fall and ultimately a gradual decline to about maybe 90-100$/Barrel. I'd hope not 50$ since that means we can't build roads, schools, or hospitals :AH-HA_wink:
  5. I have a feeling oil's going to recede back sometime after Christmas... It's just a gut feeling I can't explain why I think so.
  6. Seems like an eternity since the Flames were knocked out first round ()... Be nice to the cup, it is a Canadian trophy after all.
  7. The Buick Invicta pic posted today looks okay... but I think PCS is right, quite yucky indeed.
  8. This isn't the Zeta, it's dead. They switched development for RWD for Buick to Alpha, My bet is it'll be called "Regal".
  9. I don't know... I'm getting less optimistic on GM's future for whatever reason... I'm starting to get images of a bankruptcy that they will emerge from as Chevrolet-Opel-Cadillac and Maybe Buick, Maybe Holden.
  10. What about the thugs who stole Capriceman's Caprice and put it on Craigslist- that's worthy of an honorable mention.
  11. I would agree 100% that it's all subjective... When I talk about complicated I mean that If GM Makes a car with a center stack and control stack ala the new Accord- I will not buy it. It's too freaking complex, and I want something more straightforward. If they must integrate the controls, I think the Invicta and CTS seem to do a better job of this. The Malibu Interior is, however, wrong in a few fundamental ways by my eyes... It's not hideous, but for the same price, I'd rather have the Aura. Yeah I know it's got more hard plastic than it should but I don't care about it either way- given the Aura has the Metal Finish inserts instead of that gawd awful plood it looks better to my eyes, For comparison's sake: As you can see, the Malibu has lots of cutlines in the door panels that make the whole thing look hacked up IMO. Second, look at the instruments. Those gauges look a bit too 'showy' for my conservative tastes, and with a speedo up to 220, it looks squished in there. Third, look at that area from the top of the bulge for the instruments down to the bottom of the steering column. Even with two tone-interiored Malibus that area is all one color without any accent strips to jazz it up. The center stack looks stunning, but by moving the wood strip up so high they've killed the aesthetic value of those extreme sides of the dash on both sides. Contrast this with the AURA that has a trim strip that goes through the middle of there, and onto the door, cutting down on the cutlines and making that area less of a no-mans land. On the exterior they're both really attractive, but the Aura's C-Pillar isn't as Obese as well. But 'eh... I'm only one man.
  12. Less Than 18MPG City, No Sale. Daewoo-Developed Product, No Sale. In the future I'll stick with the GME Developed NG Astra over the GMDAT Developed NG Cobalt/Aveo to go with my Impala. No Automatic, No Sale Ugly and Or Excessively Complicated Interior, No Sale (ala new Malibu- I'd much rather have an AURA) No FWD or AWD, No Sale. RWD Will Never Cut it For Me. Please Don't Flame/Hate Me, but I don't like the concept, especially here where there's snow on the ground from October till May. You all have preferences, so do I.

  14. Not really... I do it all the time too, and I put it in neutral for lengthly stoplights. It works, tho. The First tank on the G5 was 26MPG, I didn't do any of that stuff on that tank. Second tank and now I'm doing this stuff, same driving time and length, and I'm going to get 28MPG out of the tank. Every little bit helps.
  15. I hope that North America gets the Astra Estate this time around. I like the interior and front clip of the Astra, but the hatchback kills it. Bring the Astra Estate to North America and I'll buy one when it comes time for me to get a new smaller car to go with my bigger one. (That's a promise). It looks better than the Cobalt/G5 Sedans. [/Hint to PCS]
  16. You're right, they can't do that... There has to be give and take in this situation. Some good RWD Product, some good FWD/AWD product for those like myself who would prefer that layout.
  17. Man that WRX REALLY looks like it doesn't belong.
  18. *BUMP* Found these on Flickr and I think they epitomize the perfection of the Aurora (I forgot how much I wanted one until I saw these)
  19. Wow... I'd love that D'Oro Edition.
  20. It's a little high... a 2007 Malibu Sedan with the 3.5L VVT V6 for 15995... and a 2007 G6 SE Sedan with the 3500 VVT for 14995 around here.
  21. I'm guilty of cutting it close on occasion...
