You should put this guy in touch with me, if he doesn't want that beautiful Caddy. You're right though; the Lucerne shouldn't handle that badly, it should be more crisp etc... But I tend to accept and even like the DTS the way it is simply because it is the last Cadillac that will have a floaty ride, the last Cadillac that handles like a boat, the last Cadillac with a column shift and a bench seat, I'd actually LOVE to own one... Not that the old guy isn't right on all points though, because he is.

No 2.2L, but it could just be an illusion because the engine is so much quieter. I'll have that looked into.

In owning the car a week now, I've made some observations 1) 1st Tank of Gas - 26MPG (545Km) 2) Electric Steering not ideal but suited better to the Deltas than Epsilons 3) Battery in the Trunk - Strange 4) Engine- More Muffled than the Cavalier 5) Torque Delivery a more anemic 6) Brakes are weak in comparison to the Cavalier 7) Yes, A lot of hard plastic but at 27K Miles, it doesn't rattle 8 ) Gauge Cluster... Strange to have to look to the far left for the Speedo and have the Tach my line of sight 9) Interior Build Quality better than Malibu Maxx, almost on par with Impala 10) Closing the door from the inside sounds/feels more tinny than the Epsilons, W's, and J's. 11) Green Backlighting on Stereo, White on Controls, Red On Gauge Cluster, Green on DIC... I wish they adopted the radio/DIC text color from the Torrent.

I wouldn't... I'd care too much about my car.

I know! It's not just the US Government, the UN is trying to pull similar $h! on us as well. Every time Premier Ed Stelmach or Deputy Premier Stevens, or the Minister for Sustainable Resource Development, Ted Morton, goes down to DC (which is actually quite often- we have our own ambassador in Washington as well), they're always met with clueless American environmental protesters donning Polar Bear suits who drank the Kool-Aid and now believe that the oil from up here is dirty because it has to be separated from sand, but what they don't know are the stringent environmental surveillance policies, where we keep the oil companies on a way tighter leash than Venezuela or even the US- or the fact that once we're done in an area the oil companies have to help return the land to a state similar to before drilling.

Had a helicopter crash up here in Canada a while back- a pedestrian was killed when a helicopter burst into flames and fell to the streets, landed right on top of him- the eerie part is that he was listening to an iPod really loud and was completely oblivious to what was going on...

Yeah... US Congress is trying to label the Alberta Tar Sands up about 300 Miles north of here, you know, where you Americans get like 35%+ of your oil from, as a 'dirty process' crude oil source and block bringing as much of it into your country... The Alberta Premier says we can sell oil to China and India for a heavier profit margin, and that they want our oil bad, and if the US Government tries to screw us with tarriffs/export restrictions, we'll send our Texas Tea elsewhere.

Oh I Like This Idea 'cause this won't drive the price higher...
