We're supposed to get pounded by Ernesto down here for most of the weekend, and, to ensure that no other plans could be made (if the weather were good), my aunt is splitting the weekend by having a picnic on Sunday that I have to attend. Labor Day weekend is shaping up to be pretty laborious, blah.

A move downmarket by Cadillac can be seen as a direct threat to Buick. I say don't do it. CTS and its variants should be the entry-level vehicle. A jewel-like TSX competitor for Buick, on the other hand, would be great. I notice no one is mentioning the Lincoln MKZ as a competitor for the proposed Cadillac. Cadillac should be an all-RWD company, with a smattering of AWD variants. It is a step backward for Cadillac to back away from their successful return to RWD.

Although the second pic wouldn't work for me, yes, Nos, the green '68 Mustang in the first is a fastback. God, I hope these variants are approved. The idea of a CTS coupe just leaves me weak in the freakin' knees, wow.

Welcome, Oh Snap! Although this is a GM fansite, you seem more an import intender... the CX-7 is a goodlooking, and (reportedly) fun-to-drive SUV that doesn't look too trucky or too girly, and it should be within your price range. Let us know what you choose.

sciguy, if I may clarify for you, you meant if the baby is a girl, correct? I heard that the Chinese government is trying to curb the population through all sorts of means. Maybe she got pregnant, but knows she will be under pressure to abort... UNLESS a foreigner can be blamed for her condition. She gets you to help her emigrate, and voila, she's living in Canada with her baby, of unclear paternity... Yes, make sure you can independently contact that clinic. "NEXT, on As the Gears Turn..."
