    Lucerne Coupe

Bob, the B-body Riviera ran only from '77-'78. The classic '79-'84 was an E-body, shared with Eldorado and Toronado.

  4. Cool, a Japanese-market Cat. Check out the sideview mirror location. And (this is super cool) it has TWO radios! Seriously, it was probably owned by a little old lady who has passed on. It's a gem, Vipes.

Yeah, I go to the same Hair Cuttery location at the mall every time. Most of the girls are familiar, but I haven't been getting the same person every time. Thus, all my hair cuts end up being different, even though I ask for the same thing every time... "one" on the sides, faded into a "six" on top. Last time I got out of the chair to leave and faced the people waiting their turn, I could tell what they were thinking... "He must have asked for a 'Forrest Gump'."
  6. Are there any sporty variations on the Caprice?
  7. Now I'm not sure of C&D's intent. Sure, redblooded American males will appreciate it, but what about Prius drivers? They'll hold this as an example of "wasteful use of precious resources" and hold an even bigger grudge against builders of fun cars.

  10. I thought that was the Biarritz (sp?).
  11. Well, these are all Holden Senators. It kind of goes with my idea I posted up in the Buick section. Fewer platforms, fewer models, more variations to widen your market.
  12. Pontiac could use the platform as a coupe and sedan... and Buick could build their 4 seater convertible on it... no overlap. G6 convertible is in Buick price territory.
  13. The dark red one without the wing is flat-out gorgeous... wow... so stunning. IF GMNA infuses as much style and bespoke brand DNA into our Zetas... the competition may as well go home. Period. The Signature would make a fantastic Lucerne... picture it with a Velite grille, portholes, and different taillight lenses. Even the rims would work as a Buick.
  14. so, um... coooooo
  15. I think the Fairlane concept has a lot of wood inside, too. I loved that interior.
  16. ooo, it's armoured... and stretched... but are those hubcaps I see? Maybe the rims are reinforced steel or something, with covers made to look like the civilian alloys...
  17. Actually, those red pleather seats are kind of interesting... (in the Nissan) I actually like the newer BMW dashes, but only without the tacked-on looking nav screen. The Z4 dash looks retro, simple and elegant, for example.
  18. Nos... give it up, man! :AH-HA_wink:

  20. Probably anyone who saw the concept. Sometimes you don't know you're asking the question until the answer muscles into view.
  21. The ability to order a car just the way you want it (within a finite, but long, list of choices, of course) doesn't have to lead to logistical nightmares for the factory. Your point about leather seats and manual locks sort of supports my idea... not much danger of anyone ordering a car like that, so why sweat it? Does anyone agree with my call for fewer models, but more bodystyles for each model? This would allow GM to effectively serve a wider market. The big spending, as I understand, is on the respective platforms. Reduce the number of platforms, but expand the variations on each...and voila, you please more customers.

  24. Nope, I just felt it was a breakthrough idear, so it needed more than my usual ho-hum bold type. When I read it, it, like, makes me cry, it's so good. <----- Paris Hilton
  25. I want a new Sierra shortbed regular cab 2WD.
