  2. Ok, now that you've tried it out, settle down!
  3. Well I'm glad you left the tri-shields on the wheels and the ventiports on the hood so we know for sure it's a Chevrolet. Thanks!
  4. Oh, so it's an aftermarket conversion. I thought it was going to be done in-house.

    Yay

Hey Mr. Fly - how's it going down there?
  8. Yeah, it could swallow your head, then you'd be staggering around with a big chick hat on your head running into stuff.
  9. Very interesting... I hope this pans out. I honestly believe Chevrolet can sell two RWD coupes, if they are pitched to different customers. It's intriguing that they're thinking of resurrecting the Chevelle name, although Chevelle's image, to me at least, is kinda close to Camaro. Monte Carlo could be more luxurious, a "gentleman's hot rod". I'm glad they're considering using cues from the less-baroque first-gen car. Chevelle means sporty, practical and versatile. The hatchback is a really kinky, brilliant idea. Camaro means affordable, sporty as a six cylinder, musclecar for four as a V8.

  16. Viper, swallow your pride and work harder next time! Congratulations to Decka, Viper, and Ted.
  17. Yup, those rails are the frame on a unibody car like yours. That's kind of a big deal. They're welded to the trunk floor. I guess the "rear crossmember" is the rear body panel. It's that vertical panel that the trunk lid striker is mounted to, it goes the width of the car and is welded to the trunk floor and quarter panels. If you care to, I'm interested in hearing the jist of the "official estimate" when you get it. Thanks in advance.

    ....

Nah, this is way better looking than my truck. I honestly don't see any Colorado in it. The side contours are not Nike swooshes like my truck, they're square-rigged. The front bumper end caps do bring to mind the Titan, I'll admit, but the rest of it is all Chevy. The grille reminds me of a much larger '94-'97 S-10 grille somewhat. In Chris' newest photo, you can really see the hood and front fender contouring. Very nice.

    Hey Ocn

B&BL: our shop is mostly a collision shop, we have contracts with many insurance companies and we have to get the crash work out asap, so we don't do much customer pay, non-collision work.
  22. Rice.
  23. That '63 is a hot little car. I like the split bumpers and round signals... carried over to the '70 Camaro RS.
