  2. bearrunner, OMG man, that is sooo cool! Please give us an interior shot so you can qualify for the contest!
  3. Viper, swallow your pride and work harder next time! Congratulations to Decka, Viper, and Ted.
  4. Yup, those rails are the frame on a unibody car like yours. That's kind of a big deal. They're welded to the trunk floor. I guess the "rear crossmember" is the rear body panel. It's that vertical panel that the trunk lid striker is mounted to, it goes the width of the car and is welded to the trunk floor and quarter panels. If you care to, I'm interested in hearing the jist of the "official estimate" when you get it. Thanks in advance.

Nah, this is way better looking than my truck. I honestly don't see any Colorado in it. The side contours are not Nike swooshes like my truck, they're square-rigged. The front bumper end caps do bring to mind the Titan, I'll admit, but the rest of it is all Chevy. The grille reminds me of a much larger '94-'97 S-10 grille somewhat. In Chris' newest photo, you can really see the hood and front fender contouring. Very nice.

  7. I'm just guessing, but I'd say a lot of patients bond with their OBGYNs. :AH-HA_wink:

    Hey Ocn

B&BL: our shop is mostly a collision shop, we have contracts with many insurance companies and we have to get the crash work out asap, so we don't do much customer pay, non-collision work.

  10. That '63 is a hot little car. I like the split bumpers and round signals... carried over to the '70 Camaro RS.

  12. I would restore the car with the help of PHS, if possible. A nice Pontiac 400 and a 4 speed or Turbo 350 for power, then I'd upgrade the chassis with swaybars, springs, urethane bushings and disc brakes. That's a nice looking year.

    Hey Ocn

Hey, I tried to reply sooner but I couldn't, oy. I will check with one of our painters on brands, etc., for you, Camino.

    Hey Ocn

I can check with one of our painters. Just off the top of my head, I'd say you need an air compressor, a gun, a clean room with lots of lighting, and a paint supplier to mix up the code you want. Can I get back to you?

This is pure Chevy truck. I love it. The sides remind me of an update on the '73-'87, the stacked headlights... '81-'87, the grille theme has been used on lots of Chevy trucks before it. I love the wide looking front end. My truck will be a regular cab, 2WD LT with 20s (and maybe a 2-4 drop)... I'll choose the color after I've seen the palette. I'd like to see a chrome trim package available from the factory similar to what they have now (mirror caps and outside handles). I am thrilled it does not have the tacked-on, angry face of the current truck, which is the ugliest looking front end ever put on a GM truck. To me, a Chevrolet truck is subtle and determined in countenance, not "over the top" as the Dodge, Nissan, and upcoming Tundra. The Ford F150 has a nice front end as well. Very tailored and classy, yet masculine. It continues a long tradition that was broken up by the cheesy '03-'06, which when viewed from a full-on frontal aspect, looks high and narrow compared to the competition, not to mention, really unnecessarily angry.

So, which Soprano are you? :AH-HA_wink:

  20. What a car! Cruisemaster... Best of luck with it, man.
  21. Ven, there is a local organization that guarantees they will not euthanize unwanted animals brought to them. He was talking to me about it after suggesting the Humane League (which I guess has an incinerator, so I was trying to discourage him), and I jumped on the suggestion. So, I guess they're going to keep her and the litter until they're old enough to be adopted, then take them there. I still think a pet is a life commitment, but this is better than certain death, I guess.
  22. No one can deny the SS/SC is a sweet ride. I always have "mine" in mind, Laser Blue with Performance Package (LSD and Recaro seats), then changing the decklid or getting a flat, aftermarket spoiler to cover the holes. My 50-something coworker loves his black one. Good luck, Nos.
  23. Well darn it, Sunday is Father's Day, so I'm going to be tied up with my pop.
  24. Oh boy... cannot wait!
  25. A while back, my neighbors put their little house cat outside because she "attacked" their daughter (I think it may have been the other way around, but I digress). She was in heat. So of course a tomcat got to her and knocked her up... she was a homeless little girl in trouble. They put food out for her, but didn't let her back inside any more. She's been hopping over from their deck to mine from time to time if she knows my door is open. She'd been trying to get into my house. I've been petting her and being nice to her, but I didn't want to let her in. I had the door open this morning, she heard me through the screen door, so she hopped over and started crying her little eyes out with more urgency than before, staring at me through the screen. I sat down in the doorway with my legs on the deck and she lay there between my legs, nuzzling my feet and looking up at me. That's when the contractions started. She wouldn't let me go, she lay on my right foot, with her paw on my left. About 25 minutes later, out pops the first of six kittens... born on my deck. The mackerel of birth! I had to leave to run some errands. My neighbors gathered the brood up and put them over on their side. Now they want to take the whole kitten kaboodle to a shelter. See... I was raised to care for animals... for my neighbors to kick the cat out when she was in heat is inexcusable, imo, especially when it probably was not the cat's fault to begin with.
