  1. I know hyper, trucks are higher in the back end, that's elementary. It just seems the 2WD GMT900 shortbed reg cab looks awful without being at least leveled out. Cool Ram, GMTG!
  2. The Matador gains points for its perfect 1970s quirkiness. My mom had a '77 Charger SE, dark blue/light blue landau top/white vinyl split bench with blue carpet. But I think I'd go for the Grand Prix, in green with Pontiac Rally wheels and a 400. EVERYBODY drove a Monte Carlo...
  3. Someone prolly slid that wiener into their garage for a bit.
  4. I have it as built from the Chevy website as my wallpaper, replacing a brilliant white ZL1. BUT, I think a longbed might be too long for my garage. And it's too expensive, at $33k with the $3000 GM Accessory wheels.
  5. (on both counts!)
  6. Yeah I put 2" leveling shackles on my '07 Sierra shortie (with help from 2 friends), improved the look of the truck immensely. I understand GM has an engineering rule with pickup trucks: the rear bumper must be 2" higher than the front when unladen. This looks worse on the shortbed, with an embarrassing amount of wheelwell showing, imo. The longbed has more length so it doesn't look as severe. Just leveling it would make it look different enough, maybe, without taildragging it, but I was thinking just one inch lower than level might look cool.
  7. An idear for perusal: 2012 Silverado LT regular cab longbed black with tan cloth factory accessory 20" 6-single spoke wheels 5.3/posi 3.73 protection package (mainly for the rear wheelhouse liners which should be standard on these trucks) After sale: rear end 3" drop silver/gold painted pinstriping around bodyside contours, tailgate handle and hood contours blacked-out windows Flowmaster muffler with dual tailpipes straight out back folding soft tonneau cover I'm thinking the old-skool "tail dragging" look would be cooler with the longbed. Thoughts?
  8. Yup, and now sitting in a car is like being hunkered down in a bunker. To meet crash standards. Which in turn leads to the need for electronic nannies to ding from the dashboard when we get too close to something. Ridiculous.
  9. And today I might see (and hear, with the 60-degree V6 burble) at least half a dozen Cieras or Centurys still navigating the mean streets.
  10. Interesting vehicle from a difficult time at GM. Attractive FWD proportions weren't their forte in those early days of wrong-wheel drive.
  11. Apologies for the lateness to all you eager August spotters out there in TV land. Here's the spot for all your best late summer unusual vehicle sightings. Have at it, ladies and gents!
  12. He certainly is. BUT he's also very handy and thrifty with a dollar, two traits that truly SHINE in these economic times.
  13. I think they're using Town Car in the generic sense, and it is a long-term nameplate for Lincoln. I was surprised to see the nameplate on 1950's Lincolns.
  14. Here's to a great birthday, sir. Take 'er easy!
  15. Very effective subliminal use of the word "OSCAR" in every other frame of the film.
  16. Of course they can't, balthy!
  17. Mice have been laughing at the word "impenetrable" for one million yerrs.
  18. I knew it. The Malibu Eco is a car nobody wants. And now the real, competitive drivetrains will have to be relaunched... a huge expense. Horrible. The whole eek-Assist concept is LAME-O.
  19. Did you find a Buick?
  20. Tough little cookie, that one. I hope he saved the ancient Iron Duke progenitor and didn't cut the car to install the SBC.
  21. EXCELLENT guess. I do believe that is a GM font on the sticker.
  22. cosmetic dentistry
  23. Oh, he of the 100 mile bike ride, have a good one sir!
  24. That's the word I was looking for. The Mercury looks the most modern and clean.
