  1. The Quest definitely has a JDM look to it. Totally different from the yam that came before it.
  2. I do like the '63.5 Falcon Sprint and Futura.
  3. Olds grille is split, Chevy is not, according to a Car&Driver archive article pitting the Monza against the Mustang II. I forgot too, it's been so long since they were current, and the difference is really small.
  4. Well it's a Patriot so it's a little fella. The employee parking lot includes several lifted pickup trucks with big ass tires. And thanks.
  5. Man, this looks like fun!
  6. I agree with Moltie. RWD is special, and for people buying a BRZ, they do know what they're getting. They hunger for it. A slammed Juke sounds like a joke in comparison to the purity of the BRZ.
  7. I love horsepower as much as the next guy, but I honestly was not frustrated driving my Cruze. Coming out of a Fiesta might have something to do with that, but I thought the 1.4t was a pleasant, torquey little lump. I've never driven a Sonic, but I have to imagine it feels at least on par with the slightly heavier Cruze. It's true, more power would have been a welcome addition to the RS package. You can buy a supercharged Cooper S, or a 500 Abarth, but the truth is, most "sport" packages nowadays are nothing but trim packages. At least Chevy has lowered the suspension, fitted sportier gearing and put on a louder muffler. This is a decent package, and hopefully it isn't priced stratospherically... that's the key.
  8. I use the sunroof in my vehicle all the time, usually tipped up to aid in venting heat out. But if it weren't there I wouldn't miss it.
  9. Ha, nah, Jeep is doing a fine job carrying me around. No way I'm that crazy to consider getting something else after what just happened, I was out of work for 48 days. And I have to make sure things work out. I'm learning to take nothing for granted.
  10. Worthless, faddish junk, just like every other car with an electrified powertrain.
  11. I was checking out GM's photo gallery of the 2013 Sonic RS, and lo and behold... it says "FLOWMASTER" on the exhaust tips. How cool izzat, I ask you? Available in Victory Red, Summit White, Cyber Gray or Black Granite, with a lowered suspension and lower gearing with the 1.4t engine, plus some sporty trim in addition to the Flowmaster setup, this thing should be a HOOT. Wish it came in Blue Topaz.
  12. Thanks uncle dave. Today after I left work, two different men took the time to stop me and compliment me on the Jeep. One in a parking lot said the colour is "beautiful" and asked me wut it be call, and the other put the passenger window down in his Civic as we waited at a red light and asked where I bought it, because he wants to go buy one. But yeah, GMTG, I factory-ordered my 2013 ZL1 and my 2014 shortbed regular cab Z71 this afternoon.
  13. Well, the Super Sport in 1996 was a B-Body zenith not seen in many a year before it. And I like a few Impalas post-'66, for example, the '67 that inspires the '14, and stars in Supernatural with two cute guys.
  14. That's a crazy interesting paint job. Any more photos of that Bonneville?
  15. New Impala will once again be aspirational, something it has not been since at least 1996.
  16. I'm just laughing that some dopey old sales/internet manager cares so little about the Spark, that he loaded the YouTube video prompting the voiceover to say "SPRINT" instead of Spark. If Chevrolet salespeople are that out of touch and uncaring about the product, how are they going to connect with customers? And the little lady is bowled over by its cuteness in the other video, which also has mistakes in it (cloth and leather interior???) ... and too much wind in the microphone. This is the time to give this little car a serious, advantageous, uplifting roll-out. Both of these dealer-produced videos SUCK. Sometimes, salespeople are their own worst enemy, expecting potential customers to be clueless in the internet age, when they're anything but. They are guaranteed to lose some customers because they know not of what they speak.
  17. Your mom loves it!
  18. This computerized announcer chick is slightly behind the times. Listen to her intro as she sparks some controversy...
  19. How were these H-bodies set up? Do they have an engine cradle/front subframe?
  20. yeah not sure why...
  21. It's a double-edged sword. I like the idea of Mexicans staying home and making an honest living instead of coming into our country. There've been plants down there for decades, AFAIK. BUT, I hope the movement to keep more jobs here at home does not lose momentum.
  22. I'm back to being an estimator, which I love. Today was hectic, there are several transitions going on at once there.
  23. Thanks, folks! I'm excited. A good number of the same guys still work there. My commute is about a mile longer, each way.
  24. Pop-up canvas either needs cleaned or replaced by an upholstery shop. Pretty bad-ass apart from that.
